How is the Insurance sector evolving in the Indian environment right now?

The insurance sector in India is expected to see a transformation in the near future. The Covid
pandemic has changed the thinking of people about their health. As a result, the shift towards health
insurance will be more pronounced in the upcoming years. This will give opportunities to the new
companies to come up with new ideas in their plans. In addition to that, I think pension policy and
retirement plans are other sectors that will see growth in upcoming years. With the removal of pension
salary in government sector jobs and poor penetration of provident funds, I see the growth of the
sector in upcoming years. Another sector that can see possible growth is the Child plan. The pandemic
has forced the parents to think in a different way. They are thinking of protecting their child in case of
anything unfortunate happen to them. In addition to that plans such as child education policy are
expected to grow because of the high fee structure of educational institutes which is expected to rise
further in the coming years.
What motivates you to join an early-stage start-up like HealthySure?
The opportunities to learn and excel in a start-up are quite lucrative as compared to others. The
opportunity and learning experience that I will get from shadowing the CEO in meetings is quite
motivating for me to be a part of the company. I will get a chance to know how a start-up is made and
functions in this competitive environment. In addition to that, I will get a chance to take ownership
and share ideas. These two opportunities motivated me to join an early-stage start-up. Moreover, I
also get a chance to crack a permanent desired role with the company.
Write a statement of purpose of what makes you fit for the particular role?

I am a student pursuing a master’s degree in management studies who graduated in Electrical and
Electronic Engineering. Mathematics is one of my favourite subjects. My marks in mathematics are
quite consistent. I was also awarded a gold medal from IIT Bombay in Calculus course. My inclination
towards mathematics has helped me in building my critical and logical reasoning skills.
After graduation, I have worked for Infosys as a system engineer trainee and also in a
pharmaceutical company in Bihar. Since I had worked in two different fields so, I have knowledge
about the healthcare sector as well as information technology. The knowledge will help me during
the internship because the company is in the healthcare insurance sector on the digital platform. So,
I think I am a more suitable candidate for the opportunity as compared to others.
