ACTIVITY NO.

FOOT TO HEIGHT

I. Introduction:
The bones of the feet can tell a lot about a person. Forensic anthropologists
team up with the law enforcers to help solve crimes. Bones of the feet can
reveal an interesting fact about an individual. When a forensic scientist has
the length of a foot, the forensic scientist will be able to approximate the
height of the individual.
Forensic anthropologist have found many relationships between lengths of
various parts of the body in relation to one another. One such relationship is
the length of one’s foot and how tall you are. Scientists have found that on
average, the length of your foot is equivalent to approximately 15% of your
height.

II. Objective
To determine the height of a person by using the bones of the feet

III. Materials
Ruler

IV. Procedure
1. Write your name as the suspect (forget about the shaded rows)
2. Remove your shoes and measure your height in inches. Record
3. Measure the length of your left foot from the back to the tip of
your big toe. Record
4. Divide the length of your left foot by your height. Record
5. Multiply the result of number 4 by 100. Record
6. The results of your calculations should be about 15, illustrating that the
length of a person’s foot is approximately 15% of his/her height.

VI. Conclusion
Based on your result, what is the precision of your calculation based on the
scientists view “the length of your foot is equivalent to approximately 15% of
your height.” Is it true or not? Explain
True, because we're going to degree and ensure that the calculation of the
end result is 15%, so high-quality because our degree on our top and duration
are the same because it's correct to the calculation 15%.
