Learning Activity 3. Stress Survival Kit

Whatever event or situation is stressing you out, there are ways of coping with the problem
and regaining your balance. The stress survival kit provides quick relief from stress and anxiety.
Stress Survival Kit
1. Choose 3 objects or symbols that make you feel relaxed to include in your kit.
2. You can make symbols.
3. You can use words or pictures.
4. Think about how the symbol helps you when you are dealing with stress and stressful
situations.
5. Write a paragraph for each symbol or object in your kit and how it helps you cope with stress
in your everyday life.

Chocolate helps me cope with stress because it feels good to eat. Chocolate is
my comfort food because it tastes great and seeing a lot of different types of
chocolate helps me have a good mood every day. Every time I feel stressed or
sad, I eat chocolate because it makes me happier and suddenly I am in a good
mood. I don’t know why, but eating chocolate motivates me more to do things
like finishing my school work, cleaning my room, and having a good talk with my
grandparents or laughing with them.
