YOUR OFFICIAL COURSE WORKBOOK

4 Simple Tips To Get The Most Out of This Class:

1. Print this workbook out before starting to listen to the recording so you can write down
your notes as you listen.

2. Review the topic outline so you know what to listen for. Make sure you've set aside
private time for this session (minimum 50 minutes) so you’ll be able to focus and fully
receive the benefits of the session.

3. Write down all the interesting and new ideas and inspirations you get while listening —
that way you won’t lose the information most relevant to you.

4. Think of how you can quickly implement the teachings shared in this session.

Preparation Tips:

• Make sure you are in a quiet place where nothing can distract you, and that you are not
driving a car or any other vehicle. Be in a comfortable position so you can fully take part
in any of the exercises or hypnosis tracks that are part of the class.

• Stretch your muscles before starting the class. Stretching loosens the muscles and
tendons allowing you to sit (or lie) more comfortably. Additionally, stretching starts the
process of “going inward” and brings added focus to the body.

• Take a deep breath. Breathing deeply slows down the heart rate and relaxes the
muscles to help you have a comfortable experience during any guided exercises that will
happen during the class.

We hope you’ll enjoy it!

Conscious focus for the week:

I control the pictures I make in my head and the words I say to myself.

1. Use the space below to write down any insights that you have during the session.
These will be the important takeaway points from this session.

Module Two Exercise

2. This exercise will show you in a way that leaves no doubt that your body responds to
the images that you create in your head.

Imagine that you are standing in your kitchen holding a lemon that you have just
taken from the fridge. It feels cold in your hand.

Look at the outside of it, the yellow waxy skin that comes to a small green point at
both ends.

Squeeze it a little and feel its firmness and its weight. Now raise the lemon to your
nose and smell it. Nothing smells quite like a lemon, does it?

Now cut the lemon in half and smell it. The smell is stronger. Now put all of that half
of a lemon into your mouth, bite deeply into the lemon and start chewing and
sucking on the flesh and let the juice swirl around in your mouth.

At this point you will start to make saliva to nothing more than a thought and your
mouth will be watering.

Let us consider the implications of this. Mere words affected your salivary glands. The
words did not reflect reality, but something you imagined. When you read those words
about the lemon you were telling your brain you had a lemon. Although you did not mean
it, your brain took it seriously and said to your salivary glands, “He /She is biting a lemon.
Hurry, wash it away.” Your glands obeyed.

You responded to the image of a lemon and the thought of eating a lemon. If something as
simple as imagining you were eating a lemon can cause your body to react physically,
imagine what repetitive, negative and fearful thoughts can do to your body and nervous
system.

Remember: You can always choose what to say to yourself about anything. Your words
make your reality and if you are not succeeding you are using the wrong words and if you
are succeeding, you are using the right words.

Homework

3. Think about the issue that you’re having the most difficulty with—be it your job or your
relationship or health or your children. And now notice in particular the words and pictures
you put in your mind about that issue.

Maybe your words and images are that your work review is terrifying or your children are
making you tear out your hair.

Or maybe you’re thinking about a presentation you have to give at work next week and
using words and images like “I’m going to choke,” or “I going to go blank and fall apart.”

Replace these negative words and images with positive directives that you say out loud.

You may not believe right away that you will deliver your presentation “confidently and
assuredly,” but the more you say it out loud, the more you will internalize the belief.

Repetition of absolute, positive, and affirmative language out loud is the best way to
change both the words you say to to yourself and the pictures you hold in your mind.

So change the word terrified to excited. Change “my children are making me tear my hair
out “ to “they are a challenge”.

Remember: The words and images you put in your mind become your reality. When you
change the words and images and make them better, you change your reality as well.
