Part 1 (2-3 minutes)

Interlocutor: In this part of the exam, you will take turns in answering the interlocutor’s
questions.

Here are some of the questions that you could be asked in this section:

• What’s your name?

• What’s your surname?

• How do you spell that?

• Where do you live?

• Can you please spell the name of your street?

• How long have you lived there?

• How do you usually get to school?

• What are your favourite subjects at school?

• What do you like doing in your free time? / Do you have any hobbies? / What are they?

• What did you do last weekend?

• Can you tell me about your family?

• Are you the oldest, the youngest or in the middle?

• What are your plans for the summer?

Part 2 (2-3 minutes)

Interlocutor: I’m going to describe a situation to you.

You and your family plan to spend the evening together at home. Decide what is the best activity to
do with your family. Explain why you think some ideas are better than others.

Here are pictures with some ideas to help you.

(The interlocutor will repeat the instructions.)

Part 3 (3 minutes)

Interlocutor: Now, I’d like each of you to talk on your own about something. I’m going to give
each of you a photograph of people exercising.

Candidate A, here is your photograph. Please show it to Candidate B, but I’d like you to talk
about it.

Candidate B, you just listen. I’ll give you your photograph in a moment.

Now Candidate B, here is your photograph. Please show it to Candidate A and tell us what you
can see in the photograph.

Part 4 (3 minutes)

Interlocutor: Your photographs show people exercising indoors and outdoors. Now, I’d like you
to talk together about the type of exercise you do and whether you think it’s better
to exercise indoors or outdoors and why.
