Individual Dilemma

Amethyst is a married woman who has one daughter, however, her husband died 3
years ago after the 4th birthday of her 7-year-old daughter. Amethyst fell in love again
with his co-worker named Edward and was secretly in a relationship with him for one
year. Edward always wanted to introduce him to Amethyst’s daughter but Amethyst
refused it because she is not ready to do that. One night while lying in bed together with
her daughter, Amethyst tries to give her daughter a hint about her relationship. She
asked her if it was okay if she’ll have a new father someday. At a very young age,
Amethyst didn’t expect an answer from her daughter. Her daughter said she’ll never
accept anyone to be her father, she said that she only has one father and he is dead. If
her mother meets someone and is going to introduce her, she has to choose, it’s her
daughter or her new lover. When Amethyst said that to Dred, Dred said that he doesn't
want to hide their relationship anymore, that he is tired of hiding. Dred loves Amethyst
for real and he wants to be her husband for real, he wants to have a family with her. He
also loves Amethyst's daughter which is why he wants Amethyst to introduce him to her
daughter. He said that if things didn’t work out, their relationship would end. Amethyst
didn’t want that to happen. She really loves Dred unreasonably and didn’t want to lose
him.

If Amethyst will introduce Dred to her daughter, her daughter may feel angry and
disappointed in her. There is a probability that the treatment of her daughter towards her
will change, she will lose her daughter and she can’t take to losing her. However, if she
will not introduce Dred to her daughter Dred has no choice but to leave her and
Amethyst doesn’t want that to happen too because she really loves him.

Organizational Dilemma

Kevin is the manager of an online game team. This team has a tournament in the next
month which is why they are practicing and doing techniques so they can win the
particular tournament. Kevin has one player that he thinks has a future in this game.
When this young man entered the team he fulfilled himself in determination and
promised to himself that he will do his best for the team and for his mother lying on the
hospital bed and have a month only to do her operation, if not done, her mother will die.
So, this young man stops schooling and focuses on playing even though her mother
disagrees with it. He promised himself that they will win the tournament to help his
mother with her operation. At a very young age, he is grinding too much just to achieve
his goal, and so could go with others. However, Kevin's admin noticed that this one
player needs more skill to be able to go with the teammates' skill so the head of the
team admins scheduled a meeting. During the meeting, they said the problem that they
noticed and their manager depends on his player. He said that he can see that this
player has a future in this game. One of the admins of the team said that this is not the
only tournament that they can join and that one player has the chance to do better on
the other tournament but not this coming tournament. The Head of the admins added
that if they eliminate this one player he already has a player that will replace his
position. This new player is a pro player and if they will get him there will be new
sponsors that will enter their team most importantly the great chance of winning the
tournament is clear. Kevin knew about his player’s condition and wanted to help him but
this tournament isn’t just for him, his decision is for the whole organization, his team.

If Kevson will refuse his admin’s proposal he will fail as a manager and the whole team
will be disappointed in him, his decision will be the main reason if the team loses the
tournament. It seems like Kevson removed the dreams and opportunities to the other
team members that will surely have a contribution to their better future. However, if he
removed this one player from a coming tournament, this player’s foundation for his
mother will be gone.

Structural Dilemma

Ms. Drianna has been a principal in a public school, Dilemma National High School
since this school was built and until now it's growing. She loves everything in that school
because she’s been part of that school from the very beginning. She respects all of the
teachers and students and always gives them comfort at school because, for her,
school is a second compound where students and teachers can be in their second
house. She always makes sure that everything in that school is at peace, organized,
and controllable. All of the students in that school love her because of her school's rules
and regulations and being fair in everything in different situations. Life isn’t perfect
therefore school is not perfect too, Ms. Drianna feels guilt, sadness, and lack of ability
every time she sees most of the students sitting in covered court, hearing all the noise
from the campus while taking their class for the whole day, not sure if they are still
learning. Being a principal she always wanted the best for all students but lack of
classroom and facilities is a big hindrance to giving all of what she wants for students.
She keeps on searching and applying to have sponsors that can give their school a lot
of classrooms. One day while Ms. Drianna was sitting in her chair in her office. There
was someone continuously knocking on her door so she decided to allow them to come
in. The headteacher of graduating students entered her office and said she had a visitor.
They went inside and the headteacher introduced her visitors, they sat and smiled at
her. The visitors asked Ms. Drianna about the classrooms that their school needs. She
began to think that maybe these visitors are here to sponsor them. Visitors offered her
help to build everything that the school needed, not just the classroom but even all of
the facilities that they needed: library, laboratory, and so on. She thanked God for giving
these people to help their school not until visitors gave them a condition and that is to
make their daughter be the valedictorian of their school year. She wanted to say no, it is
not fair for the student who deserves that title but when the scenario in a covered court
suddenly came to her mind she had a second thought of choosing.

If Ms. Drianna chose the offer students will not suffer and can study in their rooms
without noise from the outside, they can have a library where they can search, they can
have laboratories to make experiments, they don’t need to suffer every time it's raining.
But it isn’t right to do that to an innocent student that thinks of their school as a safe
place in a different situation. If she chooses to refuse the offer, the school will remain as
it was before, fair, at peace, controllable, in short in a good image. If she chooses to
accept the offer there will be new classrooms, laboratories, and libraries that will surely
help all of the students in their school.
