My Philosophy of Education

Braxton Riddles

The feeling of enjoyment trapped in a room of learning and relationships blooming is what I desire from a
classroom full of kids. What I want to prevent in my classroom is the disconnect from me and the kids. I want the
environment to be warm and inviting so the kids know this is a safe place. I will have bright colors and fun lights so
they know that i'm a cool teacher. I will make my students answer fun icebreaker questions to help lighten the
mood and play fun little games. They will be cheesy but it's a way to open their minds ready for class. We will
especially play my favorite game uno.

My classroom in two words would be vibrantly amazing. I would have lights and fun couches and bean bag
chairs and my favorite bungee chairs. We will not be having blankets and or tents in my classroom so hormonal
kids don't get the wrong impression. We will have the kids work displayed on the walls and fun beautiful
Broadway musical theatre walls to culturally educate the kids. The students will have a shelf for their journals and
books for each period. So my classroom stays organized.

I would say having a positive relationship with your students is a MUST. They will never learn from
someone they don't like, trust and want to see, But if you build that relationship with them they will want to learn
from you and take you seriously as a teacher and flat out respect you. I want them to know I will not judge them
and that if they do have a question that I will always answer it for them and try to get them in the right direction. I
want my students to succeed and to make sure I know them by name. We will play the name game and all sing the
name game song. I do not care what grade you are in the name game song always works.

How to encourage my students without candy or prizes which i would obviously have would be genuinely
trying to interest them in the topic. I would try to connect what they like to do, to their assignments and also give
them more time in class so, if they need help I'm here for them.. I would do fun projects with them where they can
create the situations and hav a template to follow so they can be creative and use their minds. They would haven”t
the structure of the assignment fromme but the rest would be all on their own so they don't have to do something
that they don't want to do.

Lastly, what i want to achieve from being a teacher is that i want them to know that i'm always on their
side and that i am trying my hardest. I want them to feel like they are ready for the next grade and are ready to
take on challenges. I want them to say there goes a cool teacher right there. What I want my students to get from
my class is to learn from their mistakes and know one mistake leads to a right. I want them to be better problem
solvers in school and in the real world. I hope all my students feel this way after they leave the classroom of
