“WHY IS ENGLISH INCLUDED IN THE NURSING SYLLABUS”

Nursing is a profession which involves caring and sharing with people from all walks of life. Care and empathy are
illustrated, by each one of us, through communication and actions. A good basic education and professional
nursing training are tools for an exciting, interesting and rewarding career.

English can widen your horizon tremendously, help to deepen your scientific knowlage and create many other work
related opportunities.
Most scientific conferences and congresses are now held in English, visiting lecturers, colleagues and tutors often
prefer to use English.

There is a demand for nurses in every country in the world. Nurses can gain valuable experience by working
overseas and also obtain higher qualifications in specialised fields. Work of nursing is also available for nurses in
tourist resorts and health care clinics and even on cruise ships.

From some information and explanations which are mentioned above, we can conclude that by having the ability
of mastering English language is a must for all of us, especially for those who want to prepare to be professional
nurses. That’s why it should be agreed and appreciated when English is included in the nursing syllabus.
