commuter.
First thing, ethics and morals have always played a critical role in
defining the strength of the social fabric that binds all people together in the pursuit
of the common good. Commuting has always been a part of every person’s routine,
from making errands to someplace or simply going back and forth from work. The
thing is every time we commute, we always encounter ethical problems and
dilemmas like choosing between choices of crossing the road illegally not paying
attention to the traffic lights because you’re in a rush or accepting the
consequences of being late and let the lights decide your pace. Options that
includes paying for your jeepney ride or to not pay at all until you get off, and,
deciding either to offer your seat to a 70- year- old woman or to a pregnant woman
in her eighth month who were both standing. Both needs ethical consideration and
your morals for you to decide. Adhering to the ethical standards and upholding to
your moral as a person, you would probably choose to abide by the law of the road
regardless of the consequences as long as it is the right thing to do. You would also
rather pay for your ride and offer your seat to the one who need it the most
because of the morality that is being established in society when enforcement as
well as education and the oblique influence of culture bring it about, also that is
ethically the right thing to do. See? In commuting, following the ethical standards
and your moral as a person makes you or anyone a good commuter. These two
come hand in hand in our moral development and ethical understanding towards
certain situations with various choices to decide. Whatever we choose from the
provided options, we should always choose what is right and just without steeping
on others because that what makes us good not just as commuter but also as a
person holistically.
Justify how the inseparability of Ethics and Morality is manifested in being good
children.
