Course Description:
These courses are to introduce the nature of rhythm and dance, and provide the opportunity to develop skills, understanding and knowledge for an
appreciation of the artistic styles and social qualities of dance. Through this course the learners will learn various dance literatures and concepts in dance
including the culture, etiquette, and application in social setting as well as several different styles, movements, rhythms and types of music which they use in
dancing. Besides being a learning experience, this is to be an enjoyable course.
OBJECTIVES:

COGNITIVE DOMAIN:
 Identify the different dance terminologies
 Interpret written dance interpretation
 Understand and identify the fundamental dance Position.

AFFECTIVE DOMAIN:
 Develop an enlightened commitment to the national ideals by discerning, preserving, and developing desirable traditions and Filipino Heritage.
 Realize that rhythmic activities and dancing are necessary for personal progress.
 Derive satisfaction and pleasure in doing Physical Education activities such as dancing.

 Demonstrate the fundamental dance positions.
 Execute with facility the basic dance steps in 2/4, ¾ and 4/4 time music.

CLASS POLICIES:
1) Classes will be done online via Google Meet/ Zoom
2) The module/worktext copyrighted by the teacher will be the main instructional material that will be used by the students.
3) Video tutorials where PE Instructors are involved should not be shared or posted in any forms of either Social Media nor Websites.
4) Attendance during online meetings/synchronous classes is not compulsory. Meetings will be recorded for the students to retrieve at their own convenience.
However, all tasks should be submitted before or during the deadline.
5) Submission of given tasks should always be turned in to the class’ LMS.
6) Summative examinations and quizzes will be via online/google forms. Deadline of turning in will be indicated in the form.
7) Students are always expected to display proper decorum and behavior during on-line or face to face meetings.
8) Consultations will be via the class group chat.
9) Students are advised to always observe safety protocols when tasks are done in groups or by pair.
10) All taks done in google docs or microsoft word should applied with the given format, Arial, font size 11, 1” margin on all sides.
