Activity I.

1. Give at least 3 definitions of global; education according to UNESCO’s Education 2030.


a. It is enabling young people to participate in shaping a better, shared future for the
world.
b. It emphasizes the unity and interdependence of human society, developing a sense
of self and appreciation of cultural diversity, affirmation of social justice and
human rights, as well as building peace and actions for a sustainable future in
different times and places.
c. It promotes positive values and assists students to take responsibility for their
actions and to see themselves as global citizens who can contribute to a more
peaceful, just and sustainable world.
2. Give the seven targets of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for Education.
a. End poverty in all its forms everywhere.
b. End all forms of hunger and malnutrition.
c. Ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all at all ages.
d. Ensure that all girls and boys complete free primary and secondary schooling.
e. Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

- Understanding one’s own cultural identity and its impact on personal attitudes and
classroom performance.
- Understanding and incorporating global dimensions into the disciplines that one
teaches.
- Getting students interested in learning about the world and discovering their place
in it.
- When considering local, national, and human issues, use real-life global
examples, materials, and resources.
