I learned that we as nurses must be first compentent in what we are doing and if we do not know
something we should not pretend we do, second we need to have compassion we need to make sure
that we are feeling empathetic towards our patients and trying to figure out how to help them, third we
need to be present, we need our patients to know we are their for them we are read to help them in any
way we can, and fourth we need to empower our clients by educate them and be able to help them
make their decision and care for themselves indepentently.
