Internet access is a human right.

(Pro)

Speaker 1:
Ladies and gentleman, we from the government team and we would like to give our argument
about why this house believe internet access is a human right. With me (name) as the first
speaker, and my friend (name) as the second speaker, and (name) as the third speaker.
Before we talk about human rights, we have to know the meaning of this words so that there will
be no misunderstanding while using the words. Human rights are the basic rights and freedoms
that belong to every person in the world, from birth until death. Human rights are norms that
aspire to protect all people everywhere from severe political, legal, and social abuses. Examples
of human rights are the right to freedom of religion, the right to a fair trial when charged with a
crime, the right not to be tortured, and the right to education. So it is very important.

And now speaking of internet wich become very important in our life nowadays. According to
nextdatacenter.com Internet has opened a new world for many people around the world. Internet
allows people to improve the quality of their life. It opens access to the previously inaccessible
things. With almost three millions of users, internet has been emerging as one of the most
important tools of communication. That’s why this house believe that internet is a human right.

Speaker 2:
Ladies and gentlemen this is the second speaker from the affirmation team speaking. And we
have 3 reason why we believe that internet is a human right.

1. The internet can facilitate interaction between many people in the world
The world wide web opened up the internet to everyone, not just scientists. It connected the
world in a way that made it much easier for people to get information, share, and
communicate. It has since allowed people to share their work and thoughts through social
networking sites, blogs, video sharing, and more. And it brings us to our 2nd, and 3rd reason
wich are.

2. The internet opens up many new opportunities for many people, such as jobs

The internet is an essential employment resource for many of today’s job seekers, according to a
new survey by Pew Research Center. A majority of U.S. adults (54%) have gone online to look
for job information, 45% have applied for a job online,  and job-seeking Americans are just as
likely to have turned to the internet during their most recent employment search as to their
personal or professional networks.
3. Internet helps emergency situation like current pandemic.
especially during the current pandemic. Internet has really become something that is very
much needed. to help with work, school, as well as communication from home, so that the
spread of this virus itself can decrease.
A new Pew Research Center survey conducted in early April finds that roughly half of U.S.
adults (53%) say the internet has been essential for them personally during the pandemic

Speaker 3:

The United Nations also ensured that access to the internet is a human right after the United
Nations Human Rights Council passed a resolution Thursday (5/7), which stipulates that
everyone should be allowed to access and express themselves on the internet.

In this modern era, of course the internet is here to make our lives easier. even we can ordering
food use the internet. we will be very backward if the right to access the internet is withheld.

And that is why this house believe that internet access is a human right. because the internet has
a big role in human life.

At the end of the day we all need internet access, whether young or old whoever it is, to express,
socialize, or maybe open up new jobs. who knows? of course by paying attention to safety and
always wisely in its use.
