    Pollution and poverty in the Philippines currently pose one of the greatest public health and human rights challenges,
    disproportionately affecting the poor and the vulnerable. These are not just an environmental issue but affects the health and well-being
    of entire societies. Despite the huge impacts on human health and the global economy, and the opportunity to apply simple and affordable
    solutions, pollution and poverty has been undercounted and insufficiently addressed in national policies and international development
    agendas. Prioritizing and increasing investment in poverty and pollution cleanup, control presents an extraordinary opportunity to save
    lives and grow economies. These are major causes why poverty is happening to our country. More poverty, more pollution. Having an
    irresponsible leader of government is one of the reasons of this problem. The corruption takes place because after many years, there are
    officials who use their position and power in getting money from the funds and use it for their self-interests instead of using it in
    providing the needs of the people and the needs of our country. However, it is not always the fault of our government, people of the
    Philippines have also mistake. It is what we call overpopulation that leads to polluting our land because of the uncontrolled gross of
    uneducated people as the effect of poverty.

    Therefore, we will be able to learn that poverty and pollution are one of the issues in the Philippines even in the world that needs
    to be solve quickly. Poverty refers to the condition of not having enough basic needs for us to live longer. It is a deadly issue that’s
    slowly killing our population we, as the affected ones, need to take actions and make solutions against it.
