pressing issue that is affecting our country. Write a political analysis based on the picture.

The Healthcare System of the Philippines has been undeniably poor throughout its

history. Its capability to handle the populace has been low and can hardly be compared to the

ideal system our country would need to satisfy its people. With the arrival of the coronavirus

disease, the population's daily living has been compromised greatly until now. But with the

introduction of vaccines, the people got a glimpse of hope in recovering from this pandemic.

Multiple governmental vaccine drives were initiated throughout the country to quickly immunize

the population. Although the state of the country slightly recovered, fate seems uncooperative

thus new introductions of variants have been reported to infiltrate our country such as the delta

variant and the latest omicron variant. Because of the sudden surge of new cases upon the arrival

of these new variants, the government has announced to the people the need for booster shots for
the already vaccinated people to ensure that the immunity received from it can handle the

disease. But of course, with the negative feedback received from when vaccines were first

introduced to the people, getting booster shots received many doubts about the effectiveness of

the vaccines.

Many people became hesitant about receiving booster shots and interventions became

needed to appease everyone. In the photo, we can see our President Rodrigo Duterte in his pre-

recorded talk to the people discussing him getting the Covid-19 booster shot. This may have

been a clever move by the government to show that the leaders of this country are willing to lead

as an example to ensure that getting booster shots are not worth hesitating for. In the talks about

whether people should receive booster shots, I stand as someone who agrees with the decision of

our government. As a nursing student, I believe in scientifically proven aids thus I also believe in

the concept of vaccines. Being a health ally, I would want a healthy community fully recovered

from this pandemic and so, taking crucial steps such as these is a must.
