Bias is any predisposition in research which prevents unbiassed deliberation of a question and it

can occur at any phase of research including data collection and study design as well as in data

publication and data analysis process.

A researcher should summarize the respondent’s answers using the original context to reduce the

cultural bias possibility and researcher should therefore use the respondent’s words framing

devices and phrases.

A health professional should make sure he does not forget critical details on the topic in which

the client is to be counselled so as not to destroy rapport, a health professional should therefore

read his notes on the topic before beginning each counselling session unless he is seeing a back

to back client.

Listen the client’s problem without any judgement as a way of showing morality to the client so

as to make the client comfortable during the counselling session hence making conversation with

the client effective and building rapport.

When dealing with clients who are very difficult to engage a health professional should use

disclosure with a lot of caution and maintain professional boundaries so as not to interfere or

intrude the counselling session.

As a new counsellor therapist, you should be aware of the limitations you are having in

knowledge and experience so as to maintain honesty in your work and hence making the client to

respect your skills more than if a health professional try and practice the skills he has not yet

develop.

Most of the food company funded researches are providing an erroneous information on the

performance and results of certain food company products such as milk and meat so as to entice
the community to purchase the products without considering the danger it poses to the

community, the researchers focus only on getting favors from the companies producing the food

more than considering the health of the consumers.
