BRENZ ANDREI BRIOSO

GRADE 7 ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI

ENGLISH PERFORMANE TASK

The story revolved around two young boys who work to help their family out of poverty.
On the other hand, the lads make money by snorkeling in a lake that is littered with rubbish,
sludge, and unclean water. They get plastics and metals to sell in a junkyard to make money.
Their desire to provide a better life for their family and to be able to obtain a degree in some way
entails more health risks. The two little boys, Jun Jun and Miko, are at risk of contracting
diseases as a result of their filthy environment, insufficient sanitation, and a lack of nourishment.
After snorkeling in the filthy water, Miko's foot was injured and is still unhealed. The hand of
Jun Jun was swollen. In Malabon, the two youngsters were treated in a barangay health center.

The tenacity and perseverance of the two boys who wanted to give a better life to
themselves and their families as shown in the documentary. However, despite their early age, the
two brothers are mature in their thinking and seek to make a living for themselves, regardless of
what is ahead of them in the future. Jun Jun's parents are somewhat irresponsible. How could
they allow their child to do such a dangerous job when all they do all day is sit in their tent and
receive some relief? They should also obtain work and quit relying on Jun Jun's help and
savings. Miko's ailment should not be allowed to continue in this manner. They should have
taken Miko to the health center in the barrio and treated the wound. There may be things that the
government isn't aware of or isn't paying attention to. Because of the disaster, these people
should be provided with not just relief, but also shelter and job possibilities to help them rebuild
their lives. The government should also look after the environment as well as the health of the
people. Knowing that such a community is wracked by poverty and disaster, public health
officials must implement a healthcare program to help individuals who are sick. The said
descriptions about the development of the country were evident in the documentary film. The
said challenges bring uncertainty to the dreams of its citizens to live a prosperous life. One of
them is Miko from the documentary: Burak at Pangarap by Pulido (2018) whose family came
from the province of Samar and moved to Manila thinking that they will have a better life in the
city. On the other hand, Jun Jun’s family is sinking in severe poverty begging and depending on
the food and supplies given by the relief group and their neighborhood. Their shelter was burned
in flames in Malabon City and still doesn’t have a house as today.

As people go through Jun jun, trials enter their lives. It is unavoidable, but we must put in
a lot of effort to overcome it. We must put in a lot of effort to reach our goals. In their situation, I
can say that it is very difficult, especially for him, to go down to the garbage river because there
is a chance that we will be injured, which will cost us a lot of money if we are injured due to an
infection. It is a danger to like jun, but he does not believe it because his stomach growls. He's
afraid at times, but he can't do anything because he's in a dream. We have a dream that he will be
a sailor, according to Jun Jun. We have a wish that Junjun will serve as a role model for all those
who saw it so that we can strive to attain our goals. We must put forth a lot of effort for ourselves
and our families. Let us not forget God who aided and directed us in reaching our goal. True
happiness comes from reaching our goals and aspirations, and we must put in a lot of effort to do
so. Let's not give up since we always remember that challenges are only testing.
