Activity 3. Blame it on Carbon Dioxide!
Q1: According to the temperature analysis conducted by scientists at NASA’S
Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), averaged overall land and ocean surfaces,
temperatures warmed nearly 0.85 degrees Celsius (1.53 degrees Fahrenheit). The
temperature increase per decade is around 0.17 degrees Celsius (0.3 degrees
Fahrenheit) from the period from 1880 – 2010.

Q2: It was an increase of Global Carbon Greenhouse effect. It starts in Industrial

revolution that started the release of Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere that soon
builds a blanket that maintain heat from escaping the Planet. 1880 is the time
industrial revolution started and the amount of carbon dioxide is on steadily rising
and at the 2010 it is already in the high levels which the atmosphere already has built
the atmosphere and Tonnes and Tonnes of it was released every year

Q3: First is Because Carbon Dioxide is the most Greenhouse gas that can prevent
solar heat and radiation to go outside into Space and Carbon Dioxide blankets the
atmosphere the atmosphere allowing only visible light and heat to enter. Global
Warming is enhanced greenhouse effect. Carbon dioxide have increased so much
that there have alarming signs of climate change. For instance; before the 19th
Century (preindustrial revolution); the concentration of Carbon dioxide was only
about 280 ppm but by the year 2000; Carbon dioxide had increased to 390 ppm and
is continuously increasing to about Billion Tonnes.
Q4: The hottest temperature ever recorded on Earth was 136 Fahrenheit also known
as 58 Celsius which was taken in the Libyan desert. The coldest temperature ever
recorded on Earth was -126 Fahrenheit also known as -88 Celsius which was taken at
Vostok Station in Antarctica.

B:
1.Other observations of recent climate change include a global average sea level rise
of 8 inches over the last century; declining sea ice, ice sheet, and glacier size;
decreased snow cover and longer frost-free seasons; an approximately 30% more
acidic surface ocean; and more frequent high-temperature records being set
2. it affects our live in way that it makes our livelihood being affected because of
climate change. Human health is vulnerable to climate change. The changing
environment is expected to cause more heat stress, an increase in waterborne
diseases, poor air quality, and diseases transmitted by insects and rodents. Extreme
weather events can compound many of these health threats.
3. A greenhouse gas is any gaseous compound in the atmosphere that is capable of
absorbing infrared radiation, thereby trapping and holding heat in the atmosphere.
By increasing the heat in the atmosphere, greenhouse gases are responsible for the
greenhouse effect, which ultimately leads to global warming.
4. i think we should have to be responsible to our waste and what we should have to
do is to redirecting our steps and making change for the environment because our
macro effort will have a micro effect to help save our home and our planet
