Best Salesman of the Year – Thomman, Congratulations
Yes, he won the salesman of the year 2021 award. This event was organized by the salesman Anil Balachandran customized training coach. Thomman is a good leader and role
model for LEAD. Every moment like this reinforces that fact. As each day goes by, he comes up with ideas for LEAD to grow to different heights. For LEADers, everything is
just a different experience. Let’s take a look at the efforts he took to be selected as the best salesman.

What is your overall feeling about the competition? What is the motive behind participating in that salesman competition?

The competition was done in all its best grandeur, mean to say
the program was arranged in Le Meriden. And there was
nothing less. Usually when a program is arranged like that
(there is le carte) we order the food and it comes, but here it
was all buffet which was served to full guest was given to us.
The rooms were double accommodation and it was really good.
There were sessions on presentations by Mr. Anil Balachandran
himself. Also, we had sessions with other trainers. More than
that there were sessions on grooming, on-ramp walk, and
everything else. This was good was as most of us didn’t know
how to do many of there. Everything was well arranged all we
had to do was participate. The session and the questions were
not complicated, stressful, it was something to sell your product
introduce yourself, and all such things. We are comfortable,
that is something very great some people could do.
Because the finalist was sixteen we have stayed together and undergone
various rounds and I thought of meeting and creating a network with
these other fifteen people. Of cause, they are a real salesman that’s, why
I’m thought of being with them living for three days keeping off
everything else. I thought that will take me from my office to the next
level. So that’s why I thought of participating.
What kind of tasks was given in the competition?
Various rounds, where one is a self-intro in a video it was completely
formal and a professional system for video recording so that was aired
and that was judged. The second is on stage, we had a couple of
questions 1, we had to sell our product for a few mins. So after that from
sixteen, it become five, then we had further rounds that had varied
questions. i.e. each person had a different question and there were
different rounds to that.

What qualities do you want the best salesman to have? Or how about the
best salesman
The best salesperson is a person who is firstly he can convince himself that
the product is good superior and the best. And he is also able to convince the
other person that it is beneficial for the other person. So the sales have to be
convinced on two things.1, the quality and the requirements of the product.2,
for the customer that this the product. Once these both are there conveying
the same thing and convince the person, educate the person Basically, earlier
we used to say talking a lot is what is required for a salesperson but now it is
more of listening. So convincing them and taking them to confidence and
doing things is what is required.

What do you have to say about the Participants who came to compete as the
best salesman and the best Competitors?
The other participants in the competitions Were really good. Many of them
have been doing the sales for so many decades. The funny part or a good part
is a different field. Some were with the cattle field, some with education,
health, playground- sports-related, some into cars, some into insurance, etc.
So we had a cross-section of seventeen different sales products to be sold
which was a good thing. Some were talented, whether it is singing or putting
up things with creativity, all of these were of high standards. They were
probably there is the next chance for them. There were different sectors and
people with different ideas and different experiences from all parts of Kerala.

Hari Sir you are still living in our Hearts...

The news that Hari Sir was no more shocked every wall of this Campus. It is really
because he was such a person who was so devoted to teaching. He loved to spend time
with LEADers. He has been close to LEADers and LEADers for the past several years.
Hari Sir as a teacher, is a real loss.
And for us LEADers you will be always in our hearts, you will never die.

gift from LEAD. Thomman overcame that difficult challenge and succeeded.
That is real heroism. At this juncture of 300 students, we can move forward
together with many more hopes and aspirations.

Last Month Updates…

02-01-2022 - COLLEGE OPENING
The college reopened after the Christmas and New
Year celebrations. The students were on a seven-
day holiday after forty-five days of continuous
classes. The college module break began shortly
after the December 21 Christmas celebrations.
LEADers also had a cake made at college.
03-01-2022-HAPPILY, EVER AFTER
08-01-2022- TOAST MASTERS
Couples as a concept do not fit as there is no time for people
here. But there are still clever couples who find time to spend
together. Here is a couple who are now living their lives
together. Happily,

Their story dates back to 2015 when some young man Vinu
joined this campus soon after a few months came to this
campus a young charming girl, Frincy. In a matter of time,
they fall in love. After five years of their relationship, here
they come with a request Thomman was ever happy for –
they wanted to get married on our Campus. And yes my
friends on that beautiful thing took place.

08 – 01 – 2022 – SMART PALAKKAD AWARD FUNCTION
After being struck with the pandemic, this year the students of
our college under the leadership of Events LOT hosted the
Award Function - Smart Palakkad. For the past 10yrs (except
last year) our college was hosting this meritorious function.
Smart Palakkad, an initiative by the MLA Shafi Parambil of
Palghat District. This can be said as a wonderful initiative to
recognise and appreciate it the meritorious students of grade
10th and 12th of the district.
Last year due to the lockdown as a result of the pandemic the
students received the awards at their home via postal service.
This year 1688 students and their parents were called to
Kannikkamatha School on 8th January for the award function.
Though the Chief Guest of the Function was the renowned film
director Basil Joseph, he couldn't attend because he was in
quarantine. Thanks to the online media he still wished all the
students for their future endeavours. As far as the function was
concerned, program started by 10:00AM. The closing ceremony
was at 12:30PM.
The MLA was really happy with the entire team of our College,
for the exceptionally well coordination the entire team had and
he presented the entire team with awards.
09 – 01 – 2022 – FASHION SHOW 10 – 01 – 2022 – ESAF PLACEMENT
DRIVE
On this day our college witnessed the Second
Malabar Fashion Show that happened after the
pandemic lockdown. There were so many
handsome, vibrant and of course with full attitude,
teams from different parts of Kerala and in fact
participants from India came in. There were
participants of various age from children to
homemakers there were many participants.
Everyone in the college liked it. It really makes us
happy as our own students as well participated.
This day the college hosted a placement drive
and more than 50 students of both 2019 and
2020 batch participated. As of now some got
placed.

27 – 01 – 2022 NEW ADMISSION

10 – 01 – 2022 – CYCLE RALLY 26 – 01 – 2022 – REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION
A new guest arrived on the soil of the lead. For
As part of the global formation of MBT the first time in the history of Kerala, camels are
Nanma, the Nanma Foundation organized a reared in a college. The LEADers greeted it

am. It was flagged off by MP Sreekandan.
The rally was inaugurated by Krishnankutty,
the power minister.

On 26th January 2022, as the whole of India celebrated

its 73rd Republic day, we LEADers also with due
respect to all the freedom fighters celebrated republic
day in our campus. On this day the polestar and the
pillar of this flagship of Knowledge our very own
Thomman hoisted the flag. And sweets were
distributed to all the students

sacrifices”
Quite an Interesting Statement to say Isn’t it? Today we are celebrating the 73rd year of
being a republic & it’s being the 73rd year we have been Independent. Quite a big-time
Isn’t it? Perhaps it may be the thing behind why we often take our Independence for
granted.
It took years of hardship struggles, confrontations, and sacrifice to achieve the Identity
that we have today we faced the brunt of poverty, world wars, epidemics, and what not
yet our Independence was granted with the greatest of reluctance. And again it took
almost 3 years more to get the Identity of Being Indian. There is take behind every bruise
which our forefathers faced for this independence. Now it has been more than seven
decades of this great dream and we have chequered history of what happened Post-
Independence. For Independence, we had to fight from Meerut to Mandalay. Post-
Independence our battles have changed. There are battles on every front whether it’s on
the Economy, d or sports. There are still challenges that need to be accomplished. Today
we are at the crux of being a superpower, both militarily and Economic wise. From the
debacle of the 1962 war to the lows of Pulwama. From the highs of 1971, 1999 to the
recent success of the Shakthi mission we have come across many milestones and turning
points. Some were delightful and some were harrowing. However, there will always be
light at the end of the tunnel. This republic day, I would like to suggest to all of you to
relive the Past glory and aspire for the growth of our beautiful country named India. Be
thankful and Proud to be an Indian.

What's of value? The freedom or the fight? What's more close to the heart?
Nothing was won overnight! Leaders who gave a fight, who stood for
what's right; The idea of freedom, to their souls, they held tight. Fear, that
transcended into courage and bravery of the highest order. Sheer will, with
which they conquered the unthinkable! Through determination, persistence,
and valour, we gained the elixir. Like a bird that was set free, a nation
dreamed of flying. The highs and the lows, they saw it together. Some men,
unimaginably brave, lost their lives before they could see the achievement.
Of hard work, commitment, and love for the nation. Some lived to pass the
baton. To a new free future, away from all the torture. Hope is all that we'd
have sometimes. Great men, leaders, believe. They see what others don't.
They focus on the light at the end of the tunnel. We are what we're because
of the greats of the past. A salute from the bottom of the heart is the least
we can do to honour their commitment. Thank you to those who set us free,

A word from…
There is a curiosity factor added in travelogue narrations, but here I am not very much sure about how I am good at depicting the
entire picture in your mind! Well, with the limited knowledge of Dhoni, I reached Palakkad railway station by Amrita Express at
4 am. I was eager to know more about the story of” Thommanum Makkalum”. The Palakkadian innocence reflects in the auto
rickshaw driver’s conversation. My inner conscience said to me that I am heading on a journey towards a remote place, to the
outskirts of Palakkad. During the early hours of the day, it is annoying for any person to be called up several times. Despite being
tired after a hectic schedule; the Dean of the college was maintaining warmth throughout the day.
Apprehensions are always my friends. The freelance mode of modelling allows getting in touch with many, but here I have to
stay for a longer duration. Visualizing a mix of cultures, maintaining strong personal bondage in between, yes it is a harmony out
into action. Right after three days all my concerns took wings and sped away.
LEAD as the name suggests, is a place wherein you could see the professional work culture and personal one culminates and is
well maintained by Thomman Sir and tithe am I realized that when your organization is to be taken care of with utmost care, you
prepare yourself to nurture it like a sapling. A passer-by might feel the system to be weird even though it isn’t. Academics and
entrepreneurship go hand in hand, flavoured with essential prerequisites needed to survive in this highly competitive world. Aji C P

MBA is a course that could guide you to the world of business. What I peer is that the organization is into the evolvement of Trainer BCC LEAD
entrepreneurs rather than making professionals that would certainly add meaning. Round-the-clock learning sessions, no gates
neither front nor in hostels. Time restrictions are in documents,
Being in a professional atmosphere we will certainly learn how to utilize t time and resources properly. I could relate to my college
as well. Priority is given for the suggestions and initiatives from students which is commendable. All co-curricular, as well as
extracurricular activities, are given prominence. I see an event happening each day on campus. The excellent teamwork from
faculties, non-teaching staff, and the stakeholders add colour to this great work culture.
LEAD college is the seat of business wisdom, where wherein learn more and more each day and radiate it to others so that LEADers
will certainly stand apart from the crowd.

A word from…

I became desperately devoted to my education and profession because I saw knowledge as the key to freeing myself
from the chain of ignorance. While learning about cancer in my graduation days I promised myself that I would
memorize every fact and absorb every detail in textbooks and online journals. And as I began to consider my future,
I realized that what I learned in my college would allow me to silence that which had silenced many human beings
however I was focused not on learning itself but on good grades and high test scores. I started to believe that
academic perfection would be the only way to redeem myself in other eyes to make up for what I had not done.
As my shoes humbly tapped against the Earth the towering trees blackened by the forest, the faintly colourful
pebbles embedded in the sidewalk, and the wispy white clouds hanging in the sky reminded me of my small though Dr. Arbind Rout
nonetheless significant part in a larger whole that is humankind and this Earth.

A word from…

I started my MBA life at not just a B-School, for me, it was my second home. Trust me people
when I say this you might think that I am flattering this Campus. I am sure that whoever is reading
this will understand my statement one day. It was a proud moment for me to be here back again
as a student reminiscing the good old days that spent in this world. Here nothing has changed
except it has become more crowded and fact to be said I do enjoy this. I was not only a research
scholar but also a teacher for a few days, that was something I enjoyed. The people here
welcomed me as though I was back to my own home after staying in some other part of the globe.
When the students came to know that I am an Ex Grad. They welcomed me as their big brother Nithin Janardhanan
and I am grateful for all of this. Looking forward to the days to come. The one thing I wanted to Research Scholar, Ex. Grad.

NEW BEGINNING….

Trading Club
LEAD Trading Club actively moves forward with daily Trading sessions and
real Trading. 2nd 5day training program on Technical Analysis for Trading
was successfully conducted with 42 participants. Mr. Adil Safvan was the
trainer for the program. On 31st January 2022, all the office bearers presented
their plan for the next month. President Dr. Anil Thekkat, Director
Management Mr. Anumod KP, Director Training & Education Mr. Jugal Dev
KG, Director Quor.um Mr. Muhammed Shinas MS, Director Relations Mr.
Ajmal K I and Secretary Mr. Nivin Vishnu VK carried out the presentations
on prospective plans concerning their respective portfolios. Dr. Thomas K
George presided over the meeting. The club elected Mr. Akshay Janardhanan
as the new office bearer, Director Events.
