C.

1. Did the children have any doubts about whether or not they should be locking Margot
in the closet? How can you tell?
Answer: No, the kids have not doubts about locking up Margot because in the text there
is no conversation that shows that they have doubts.
2. How do you think Margot feels being locked in the closet?
Answer: I think Margot was a little annoyed at being locked out but she might as well be
satisfied that what she said about the sun was true.
3. Was the author trying to teach a lesson to the readers of the story? If so, what was the
lesson?
Answer: The lesson I got from the story is that it's okay not to be quick to believe in
people, but sometimes we also have to believe in other people by looking at their
background
4. How would you describe the ending of this story? Happy, sad, or inconclusive
(incomplete)? Explain.
Answer: I feel the ending is inconclusive because readers don't know Margot's true
feelings and how Margot's friends reacted that what she said about the sun was true
5. Could this story have an alternate ending? Try to imagine one and describe it.
Answer: I imagine a different ending to this story is where Margot said firmly to her
friends including William that what she said about the sun was true.
