Happiness

Humankind can’t continue their lives without desires. If one wants to
be happy, surely, he has to discover his best desires that provide him a
happy life. Some of these desires that help to continue our lives can be
acceptance in our relationships, a good family life and strong social relations.
Trying to satisfy these desires has a great meaning to achieve happiness for
me.

To start with, however embarrassed I am about this desire of mine, I
have an obsession to expect people to accept my thoughts and manners in
every situation. Yes, this is not a good characteristic and sometimes makes
me an antipathic person but trying to be accepted by someone can give you
happiness, too. Besides, if you can manage to make someone love you
knowing and accepting all about you, I think that is the absolute happiness.

Furthermore, it seems to me that family is the basic source of happiness.
Certainly, I can’t always be a good guy and sometimes I make them upset
but I can’t stand seeing them upset. Therefore, I try to do whatever
necessary to make them happy. Consequently, when I see happy family
faces, I feel deeply happy.

Thirdly, to have friends is one of the most meaningful aspects of life. I
believe that one should have three very warm friends at least. For example,
I can’t bear loneliness and if I couldn’t share all my heart with these warm
friends, I believe that I could never be happy. As a consequence, if you feel
like me, it will be worth improving your close relationships in order to be
happy.

To recap, humankind has a short life but he is given a lot of desires to
be happy. Moreover, if one wants to discover the meaning of his short life,
he should look for it in desires. Whether he finds it or not, he will taste
happiness just by looking for it.
Topic: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The best way
to travel is in a group led by a tour guide. Use specific reasons and examples
to support your answer.

Nowadays, more and more people would like to travel around the world.
Traveling to the other country is a good way to realize the customer of the
country. I agree that the best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide.
Following a guide is a good way to know the stringer country. And there are
three points of my views.

First, when someone travels to the country which he never had been there,
the first problem is language. There are hundreds and thousands languages
in the world. People can't say so many kinds of the languages. We need to
say something when we travel. It is a good time for the tour guide. The tour
guide can take the conversation with the local people, and that can save a
lot of problems from language.

Second, a tour guide has the responsibility to tell the people where should
not go or what should be care. That way can avoid people who have the
dangers. If people travel by themself, then they have to know the place very
well.

Third, if people travel in a group, the tour guide has already booked the
room and the food. People don't have to worry about where to stay and
what to eat. The travel company will design the whole travel places and
people can play by the travel company’s designing.

To sum up, I think that it is a good idea to travel with a group. That can be
more comfortable and safer in the traveling.
Topic: Some people like to travel with a companion. Other people prefer to
travel alone. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to
support your choice.

Although it might be more comfortable to travel with a companion, I

certainly prefer to travel alone. If you go by yourself, you have the chance to
learn a new language, to get to know cultures and customs and to meet new
friends.

If you travel alone, you have to learn the language of the country.
Otherwise, your trip would be very difficult. Speaking the national language
makes many things, like shopping and interacting with native people, much
easier. If you travel with a companion, you are possibly not anxious to learn
the national language because your friend might already be able to speak
this language.

Speaking the national language enables you to get to know new cultures and
customs, too. You might see strange customs, but on the other hand, you
will understand them because you get familiar with the background of the
people. If you travel with a friend, you might be not as open for new things
as you are when you travel alone.

Last but not least, you have the opportunity to get to know new friends
when you travel alone. Interacting with other people is always the first step
to find new friends and you might find someone, who accompanies you for a
part of your trip. If you travel with a companion, there is no need to find
new friends because you already have one.

Altogether, I am sure that I prefer to travel alone. I would have more

opportunities to get to know the language, the customs and the people of
the country. As a result, I have the chance to experience a lot of new things.
TOPIC: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement:
People should sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing.
Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

Life is challenging. In order to be happy and successful, we need to prepare

ourselves on many fronts. Although participating in enjoyable activities is
always desirable, in my view it is also necessary at times to do things we do
not enjoy. The bases for my view are personal, social and financial.

Personally, doing things we don’t care for builds character and helps us
mature. For instance, when parents have their first baby they are forced to
give up their freedom in order to look after the child. There are times when
parents barely get enough sleep and still have to get up and go to work in
the morning. Similarly, when students are in school and university, they
need to spend a lot of time studying. In spite of being tempted to go out
with friends and attend parties, those who have self-control and keep their
priorities straight are the ones who get high grades. Through such life
experiences people become stronger, wiser and more responsible.

From a social perspective, we live in an interdependent world which imposes

its obligations on us. Each person belongs to diverse social groups and plays
various social roles. Each of us has to attend birthday parties, weddings and
funerals to show we care about our fellow human beings. Participating in
events for the sake of others teaches us to go beyond our own selfish needs
and to share in the joys and sorrows of others.

Financially-speaking, people need to work - and spend - to keep the local,

national and international economy growing. We need to support our own
family in particular and our community in general. In fact, most of us work
many more hours than we would like to work. What propels us to continue
working is our financial needs, commitments and obligations. Only in this
way are we able to live comfortable lifestyles and save for our retirement
days.

In conclusion, life places huge demands on us. By participating in a wide

variety of activities, both pleasant and unpleasant, we can discover more
about our unique selves and live fuller lives.
