Big Idea: Values should be
integrated across disciplines through
the use of strategies that teachers
will be using to increase students'
ability to internalize a certain value
and apply it to real-life
circumstances.

Three Key Points
1. Learning by doing is
essential for students to
internalize values and apply
them to their life in order to
become better individuals.
2. Teaching approaches and
strategies are vital in the integration
of transversal skills across
disciplines. With that, teachers
should look and properly aligned
the value to be developed to the
learning competency.
3. To promote assessing
students non-cognitive domain,
teachers should consider the use
of assessment methods such as
teacher observations, teacher
interviews, etc.

the message of this talk… and the
reason for the symbol.
I put this symbol since I
found the message of
the talk a way to help
teachers across
disciplines in integrating
values to their subjects
that will surely lead
them to a door where
students will apply what
they learned and not
just based on concepts.
Two Questions I still have:
1. How does the integration of
transversal skills impact students
learning experience?
2. Given the pandemic's various
modalities in education, how can
the teacher ensure that students
internalize the value they
integrated?
