Sec 1 Adjustment Standard


1-1 VOS Settings
The VOS settings are listed below. Change the setting conditions when necessary.
Upper yarn sensor Set to “With .”

Sec 2 Maintenance
2-1 Sensor Light Receptor and Projector Cleaning
If an upper yarn detection miss Eb alarm occurs, use
one of the following methods to clean any dirt which
has built up on the light receptor and projector.

● Wipe clean with a dry, soft cloth.


or
● Wipe clean using a moist cotton swab or soft
cloth.
* If the dirt or buildup is difficult to remove, use hot
water. [TYPE-R]

Receptor and
projector

- If the light receptor and projector are scratched, they may not operate properly. Therefore,
do not use any hard or sharp objects, etc., when cleaning.
- Do not use any petroleum solvents (such as Zippo oil).

2-2 Suction Mouth Detection Window Cleaning
If an upper yarn detection miss Eb alarm occurs, use
the following method to clean any dirt which has built
up on the detection window area.
Detection
● Open the detection window and remove any yarn window
blockage that is present
● Wipe with a soft, dry or damp cloth
* If the dirt or buildup is difficult to remove, use hot
water.

- If the detection window is damaged, it may not operate properly. Therefore, do not use any
hard or sharp objects, etc., when cleaning.
- Do not use any petroleum solvents (such as Zippo oil).

Sec 3 Consumables
If the dirt cannot be removed even after cleaning the detection window and the upper yarn can still not be
detected, please replace with a new part.
* When removing, completely open the detection window, and remove in the circumferential direction to
ensure the hinge does not catch on anything.
Detection

If excessive force is used to remove the window, the hinge may be damaged.
