THE GOOD LIFE

Learning Exercise

Let us pause for a while and think.

1. Define, in your own words, the meaning of a good life.

Answer: The "good Ife" is a phrase that is used to describe
the ideal life for one to live. According to Aristotle, the good life
should be free of any greed, full of virtue, pleasure, and
friendships, as well as excellence in whatever you mag do. I
would agree with all of the things he believed in. Many people
in America would argue that the good life would consist of
being rather wealthy without working, having many friends, a
stable family w•th an attractive spouse and so on.
Everyone has their own opinions about what constitutes a
happy life. Some people are more concerned with themselves,
while others enjoy assisting others. Both are fantastic examples
of living a good life, but you are living a good life if you are
pleased with yourself. In my essays, I'll share my opinions about
what makes a good life. You may not agree with everything I
say, but I guarantee you will learn something. Happiness is the
first and, in my opinion, the most important quality of a good
existence. Nobody can force you to be happy; it is something
you must seek out on your own. When you're joyful, you feel
like you can accomplish anything.

2. Can technology lead us to a good life? Explain your answer.

Answer : Technology leads us to a good life and the same time
it doesn’t lead us to a good life either. It depends on how we
define a good life. Technology can affect us if we misuse it. So,
balance between technology and human labour is essential,
technology never should overpower humans.
technology will support and enhance a “good life” for all
citizens without compromising the earth’s ecosystem or the
prospects of later generations. According to Stutz, a good life
requires essentially basic human needs are met an aspirations
for freedom, belonging, and self-realization are fulfilled as
much as possible. Vergrart noted that technological innovation
in the context of the Good life and how it can be supported or
threatened, depending on the way technological innovations
are influenced and steered by human decisions and institutions.

3. What is the relationship between the good life and science?

Explain your answer
Answer:Good life is related to Science. It is science that
provides good life for everyone and at the same time, it is the
quest for good life that fuels science. In this vast world where
number of inventions are rapidly growing, science made the
lives of many convenient. There are all things from science are
made for happiness of living individuals as well as to reduce
efforts, but we should know that every science based thing
except natural science having hazards also.We should aware
about bad effects of science based things around us so we can
avoid all bad effects and make a balance and enjoy the
science.Example. mobile - if we know all bad effects of mobile
so we can enjoy mobile neatly.
