Summary:
A group of friends are watching some horror movies for friday 13th of August, in the only
available house. However it's also the farthest away since it's a farm in the middle of nowhere.
While watching one of the movies something breaks into the garage and breaks the car.
Something is pacing around the house and cutting all contact with the outside. Whatever it is
it's intelligent, trying to scare them and looking for prey.

And the night has just started.

Themes
 The innate fear of the unknown.
 Darkness, nature and the supernatural.
 Isolation.
 The thing being smarter than an animal.
 Persecution into the fields and the forest.
 Isolation again.
 Powers unknown and beyond the natural.

Character:
You are playing as yourselves in highschool, you all have a common friend who is Jonathan, the
pothead.

NPC:
Jonathan, the pothead. The son of the owners of the house and the farm. He is a native
indian but he doesn't follow the whole traditions thing. He is a pretty chill dude but once he
sees the thing he starts freaking out and sugesting ways to protect from the thing: boarding
the windows, locking the doors, going to the second floor. Once the thing starts trying to get
them out of the house he is the first to run.

Location (Pic at the end):

Top to bottom:
-1st floor.
-2nd floor.
-Attic.
There is a garage to the right of the first floor.
The location for this adventure is Jonathan's house and farm. The house is pretty far from
any neighbor. It would probably take half the night to get to a neighbor.
The house has 2 floors and an attic. They are watching the films in the room at the entrance
of the house which has a couple windows to the front of it. The roof garage is accesible from
the windows on the 2nd floor or from the roof of the 2nd with extra pulls.
The house has a farm behind it. It's a medium farm, that has a couple horses and cows in the
stables, a small herd of sheep and a chicken coop. There are also two big fields, one of corn
and the other wheat.
Within Jonathan's property is part of a pretty old pine forest, where some wolves live but
maybe, just maybe, there is something more in that forest.

The Thing:
The thing is, like the picture, a four legged creature with skin tight to the bones with a little
fur, not much, little muscle but incredible strength and speed. It has an incredible hearing but
can't see very well (like us in the dark) wether there is light or not, flashes of light can blind it
for a couple seconds. If you are camouflaged it may not see you but just standing still doesn't
do the job. The head of the Thing lacks skin around the skull and you can see a deer like
structure with a great set of antlers.
The thing can stand on its hind legs and is even able to walk upright a bit if it wanted to
reach something or simply to scare
its prey. The back legs are like a
deer's but its front legs are more
human or ape. Long arms with two
articulations one in the shoulder
the other in the elbow and big
hands with sharp and strong
claws. When it moves the beast
does it very slowly making sure it
is what it wants to do, since it
spends most of its energy
pursuing, it rather walk slow the
rest of the time.
The thing is a native shaman
turned evil. When he turns into this thing he becomes more animal but is still intelligent. It
wants to instill fear into its prey in order to make it make mistakes. The thing can be both
stealthy, like when he cuts the phonelines before anyone knows it, or it can pursue it's prey (it
prefers the latter). The beast is also capable of mimicking sounds it may have heard, however
they don't seem human. They are missing the tone humans have, like the "talking" cats.
The thing is going to try and scare the kids and then make them leave the house and run into
the fields or forest where it can separate them and kill them one by one. If they go into the
forest those are the ones he goes after first unless he is already specifically pursuing others.

Synopsis:
The group decides to have a horror film marathon since its friday 13th. They go to
Jonathan's house since it is the only one empty for all weekend. Problem is, that the house is
part of a farm and is in the middle of nowhere. When suddenly something breaks the car and
cuts all communication with anyone.
It is a beast like the one in the picture. The Thing starts scaring them and making them more
tense. Killing chickens and showing its supperiority.
Once the beast deems it a good time it starts trying ot make them leave the house, by trying
to break the door or the windows. Jumping on the roof and trying to dig in things like that.
When they start running they may go toward the corn, the wheat or the forest. The beast
will try to separate them and keep them from being in groups.
If they stay alive until dawn the beast will take whatever was killed to its lair and go back to
sleep after a harrowing night.
However if someone gets to it's lair in the forest they'll see that it's the result of a ritual or a
shaman, and there is a beating heart on a pedestal in the middle of a circle.
Killing the heart kills the beast.

Act I - The Marathon:

Intro
Hoy es viernes 13, habeis decidido hacer una maratón de pelis de miedo, todos los
clasicos.Pesadilla en Elm Street,Viernes 13,The Thing , It y eso.

Meeting
 One of you convinces everyone to put their phones in a bag that is in a table by the
window or somwhere accesible from the outside.
 The nights start moving forward.
 Elective pull to percieve a smell like copper or right after a nosebleed.
 Around 1 a.m. if the car is in the garage, there's a crash sound into the garage and
something moving in it, breaking things.
 The smell is now really strong.
 If they go into the garage they'll find the garage door broken, by something big, inward.

 While they are in the garage they hear a glass breaking sound, when they go back inside
the bag of phones is no longer there.
 They are spread outside and smashed.
 There should be a couples pulls here, trying to identify what did it or seeing if the
phones still work.
 The phones won't work.
 Whatever broke the garage door has to be very strong or very big, but fast enough to
leave without being seen as well.

 Then there is another sound in the garage of metal breaking.

 The car has three slashes across the side and deep into the engine, cutting the tires as
well.
 Most things are thrown around as well and slashes among the walls.
 The copper smell dies instantly. In the garage it smells of fuel but also of forest and wet
dog.
 If they try to contact the police or something they see that there is no way. The phone
lines are dead.
Fortification
 Right after that nothing else happens for some time.
 Maybe they decide to start covering the windows or something like it. Pulls for making
fortifications, here you'll soak most of the pulls in the beggining.
 If they want to get weapons let them(Pulls), but most of the things are in the garage
where there is a huge hole to the outside that points toward the forest.
 If they look out the door they will see something turning and looking at them in the
border of the forest waiting for them to go a bit farther from the house however it is not
going to do anything as long as they stay in the garage.
 If they step out of it the thing starts walking and accelarating until they are inside again.

 In the garage there is a flashlight, a shovel, a rake and a lot of ductape.

 In the kitchen there are a lots of knives and pans and the like.
 If they look into Jonathan's parents room they'll find a revolver and a box of 18 bullets.
However they have to convince Jonathan first(Pull) and then make a pull to find it since
it's hidden.
 If they look in the attic they'll find a flashlight, golf sticks and a hockey stick as well.(Pull)

 All this won't help much, but don't tell them that.

Stories and Screams

 At this point Jonathan is suggesting they go to the attic and try to block the trapdoor up
to the attic.
 If no one does it he goes by himself forcing everyone to go upstairs as well.
 However he lets anyone up if they want to but not after asking somethings to make
sure.

 While they are waiting for the thing to come again, they can hear some big animals like
cows and horses die and scream in their death for a long time. Like it wants them to
think of the death and scare them.

 At this point they may start asking Jonathan if he knew about it(Pull).
 If they don't ask him he starts saying that he always thought they were just stories that
his Nana told, stories about things in the forest but he never thought them true.
 They are a couple of differnt stories.Tell summaries of the stories, at least one of each
but tell them how a really nervous person would. The stories:
o One tells of a protector of the forest a spirit that killed all who dared attack the
mother(Mother nature, Gaia, La Pacha Mama). He tells this one because his family
has started leaving the traditions, and working more with machines and less with
animals.
o Another is the tale of a great shaman turned evil, part of the tale is how he took out
his heart to be inmortal. As long as the heart beats he does as well.
o Some about the Skinwalkers.
o Others about Wendigo.
o And some about Stick indians(Check r/nosleep).

Act II – The Watch:

Desde las ventanas lo veis, aunque no lo suficiente como para identificar lo que es. Pero
sabeis que esta buscando entradas a la casa.Parece entretenido con vuestro sufrimiento.

Why did the chicken cross the coop?

 The thing walks in front off the windows, this time to the back of the house in the almost
full moon light they can see it clearly.
 Describe the thing in the picture while it's looking at them. Try to make it seem as
animal as possible through the description.
 The movements of the beast tend to be very slow and lumbering like it is a giant.

 The thing is scanning the house to find them and make visual contact, once it finds them
it looks directly into their eyes.
 If they all hide Jonathan stands in the window paralyzed looking at it.

 Then it starts walking away toward the chicken coop. Jonathan gasps and aloud he
wonders what is he going to do. This should make them look again.
 It grabs a chicken from the coop and comes back to the house walking on its hind legs
but curved forward.

 The thing bites the head of the chicken and holds it upside down pouring the blood and
walking, making a circle around the house.
 It goes back and does it again and again, trying to complete the circle of blood.
 Once the circle is completed, if they have not started running away yet (Jonathan tends
to do what the group decides) now back on all fours the Thing jumps onto the roof of
the garage.

To run away from the Thing.

 It starts walking toward the roof of the house and climbs up to the attic window in order
to scare them out of the house.
 It will go up to the roof and start digging into it trying to scare them away from the
house.
 At this point, if no one is moving, Jonathan starts running for the trapdoor and down the
stairs. He then runs into the fields of corn, away from the house.

 If someone moves before Jonathan make them pull to take the things of the trapdoor.
They should also make pulls for any obstacle they had set earlier.
 The thing should start to sound closer trying to make them run. If no one leaves it goes
back and grabs a chicken killing it within the circle.
 If a sacrifice is made within the circle it will make anyone inside it go crazy. Visions of the
walls starting to bleed and turn into flesh, the windows grow teeth and everything turns
to meat. It should make them want to escape and run away.
Act III – The Hunt:
Cuando empezais a correr hacia el campo de trigo oís la criatura gritar detras de
vosotros, oyendo el primer sonido que ha producido en la noche. Os esta persiguiendo y suena
entretenida.

[Here I suggest you take the action in turns. Ask one of them and go in a direction to see what
each wants to do and then make them pull. It is the easiest way I found to deal with combat-
like moments. If no one died yet here is where they will start dropping.]

Fields.
 When they start going down the stairs the creature jumps from the roof to the front
door and screeches at anyone who wants to go through there.
 If they all go through the backdoor toward the fields it is on the roof standing like bears
stand, kinda curved with its arms in the front pointing toward the center, looking at
them run, it howls/screeches. Then it jumps of the roof and starts pursuing them.

 The kids are running into the fields, if they want to stay together make them pull, all the
people that want to stay together should pull.
 Make them pull again to stay together every round the want to stay together.
 If anyone decides to stop and try to camouflage in the mud of the field make them
pullx2 and another 2 when the beast is nearby, since it can smell them.

 Give them the option to run into the forest. If someone runs into the forest the thing will
finish whoever it is playing with and then it will pursue them.
 If anyone is carrying anything they will go slower (be logical, a knife won't but a shovel
will).
 If no one is going toward the forest, the people on the back should start to hear the
thing rather soon. It will appear between people in order to separate them, trying to
slash at them(pull to dodge).
 They start to divide and won't see each other but they still hear each other. If they shout
they can make sure to get together again.
 However the thing will be hearing them as well and calling out as well.

[I suggest doing it in cards. Give out paper to everybody, if someone wants to shout for
anyone else they should write their name and whomever they are shouting for, if not they
should write their name on top and NO under. This way no one knows what every body is
doing. Then you say that X is shouting out for Y, and they can make pulls to see if it is a person
or it is the thing, you giving the answer in notes as well.]
 When the Thing has been pursuing someone specific for 2 rounds it will start attacking
more and making them make two pulls per turn unless they can think of something.
Forest.
 The people in the forest will start to hear the thing pursuing them much better since it
fall and the leaves are crunchy.
 If they make pulls they can climb in trees or camouflage among the leaves. If they are in
the leaves make them pullx2 and another 2 when the beast is nearby, since it can smell
them.
 If they were on a tree the thing keeps running toward where it thinks they went,
however unless they make stealth pulls every other round they are in the forest the
thing will hear them and go back.
 When some one has been either 3 rounds running in the forest or 5 stealthing they can
start to see some light coming from a cave.

Lair
 If the person who finds it goes into the lair he will see a table with clothes and some
weapons all traditional native american.
 There will also be there a circle of blood with a pattern around it in charcoal and bone
dust. And in the middle a pedestal with a wooden bowl and in the bowl a small old
looking and shriveled heart still beating.
 If the person goes into the circle he or she will have to make a pull.
 If he/she is succesfull and destroys the heart (Stab, stomp, smash with a stone; almost
anything will do it) the beast collapses in an awful shriek that turns into a human scream
and then die. Then lying as an old naked man with a big scar upon his heart.
