PRACTICE TEST – TERM II (2021-22)

Class –XII Time – 2 Hours


General Instructions:
 The question paper consists of 2 pages and 12 questions.
 All questions are compulsory, except wherever there is an internal choice
 Marks are indicated within brackets at the right-hand side.
 The paper is divided into 4 sections - Section A, B, C and D.
 Section A has 3 questions, from Question No. 1 to 3 carrying 2 marks each. Answer to these
questions should not exceed 40 words.
 Section B has 3 questions, from Question No. 4 to 6, carrying 3 marks each. Answer to
these questions should not exceed 80 words.
 Section C has 4 questions, from Question No. 7 to 10, carrying 4 marks each. Answer to
these questions should not exceed 120 words.
 Section D has one case study. There are 2 questions based on this case study, Question No.
11 and 12. Each question carries 2 marks. Answer to these questions should not exceed 40
words. Answer both questions.

4. Sudhanshu recently joined a political party and addressed masses of people (3)
talking about the welfare his party did and how the opposition party was
neglecting their responsibilities.
Based on the above case, determine the type of groups being described and
explain their key features.
5. Abhay is a 9-year-old child and is very particular about following the Covid (3)
protocols, like wearing the mask every time he steps out of the house, is very
particular about handwashing etc.
Keeping the process of attitude formation, explain how Abhay’s attitude
towards following the Covid protocol is getting developed?
6. Suresh is experiencing Negative Symptoms of Schizophrenia. What could he (3)
possibly be going through?

‘Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder have marked difficulties in social
interaction and other activities.’ Explain.

7. Compare and contrast three major psychotherapies on the basis of key (4)
parameters that classify them.

Briefly discuss the Cognitive therapies.
8. Rajeev and Naveen are business partners. Rajeev is in favor of bringing new (4)
investors in the company but Naveen is not keen for any new investors.
Keeping Frtiz Heider’s concept of balance, how will you explain the process of
attitude change?
Or
Mahesh is a big fan of a popular actor, who is very muscular and fit. Mahesh
follows him and tries to imitate his diet of excessive protein and non-vegetarian
food. The actor, however, falls sick due to excessive protein intake and’’ brings
about a change in his diet. Mahesh is now rethinking about his own eating
habits.
How do you think Mahesh brought about a change in his attitude?
9. Discuss some of the major techniques used by Behaviorists for behavior (4)
modification.
10. You were recently assigned a project along with few other students by your (4)
teacher for an inter-school competition. Keeping Tuckman’s view in mind,
describe the stages of group formation.
SECTION - D
Deepa is a fashion designer, known to be quite humble and poised for her
profession to an extent of being quite aloof and sad most of the times. Of late
she has been creating designs with very loud colors, is ecstatic and talking
excessively. Her friends were surprised with her behavior, and concerned for
her mental health as she had once shared with her closed ones about her
mother’s mental health issues, because of which she had started staying alone.
11. Identify the possibility of a psychological disorder she must be suffering from, (2)
delineating its key features.
12. Explain her psychological disorder with respect to the Diathesis-Stress Model. (2)
