I am very delighted to tell you that after a long period of studying, I have finally passed my
semester exam and I will be graduating in a couple of months. I write this letter to inform
you of the details of the event as well as the tickets available.
My graduation will take place at the main hall of Cambridge university. The ceremony will
start at 8 o’clock, but you should come there at about 7 o’clock for quequeing as well as
visiting the main hall. Everyone should dress themselves up, as this is a black-tie event.
My university allows up to 3 tickets per students, and I want you two to be there, along
with my brother. I do want to invite some of our relatives by asking for more ticket, but
there a limited number of people being invited to this event.

As our world is modernized from day to day, cycling has been neglected completely in
many places despite its postive impact on our earth and environment. In the essay below, I
will point out the main reason of this fact as well as proposing some possible solution to
give rise to its popularity.
There are many reasons why cycling is not a viable option in the era of modern
transportation. Firstly, in a fast-paced life nowadays, time and speed do actually matter.
Cycling increases our time to travel to work and reduces our speed by a noticeable amount,
which make it unpractical to be a means of transport nowadays. Secondly, If we cycle
everyday at places like a city, we are exposed to harmful gas as well as dust from cars and
motorbikes and this is not healthy for our body at all. As a result, people often choose to
use cars instead of bikes. Lastly, some people are straight up lazy and unwilling to do
physical activities, this is the main reason why bike are neglected nowadayse.
As I have said, I will suggest some proper solutions to encourage people to use their bike as
an alternative means of transport. One effective solutions is to create a lane specified for
cyclist to improve their cycling experience. Besides, government should also restrict the use
of other means of transport by many ways such as raising fuel price or put a limit on their
usage. As a result, they can have chance to get used to cycling to work and so on. Schools
should also have a lecture on its benefits and encourage their student to cycle more.
Despite cycling uncommon reputation, I believe that cycling is a healthy activity for
everyone to take up and this can become a popular activities for citizens provided that they
have good conditions to do so.
b) Noise is one of the most concerning problems nowadays. While some people believe that
unwanted noise should be abandoned strictedly, others believe that everyone has the
freedom to make as much noise as they can. In the essay below, I will discuss both sides and
give my own opinion.
On the one hand, it can be reasonable that everyone has their own right to make noise for
various purposes. Firstly, noise can be made to entertain themselves or to entertain others.
Secondly, some works are inevitable to carry our without making any noises. For example,
fixing the house or contructing a building can cause annoying noices, but they can’t be
prevented by any means of noise protection. As a result, people need to make allowance for
such kind of noises.
On the other hand, some people are of the opinion that strict regulations about noise
should be made. First of all, it’s one right to have the freedom to make noises, but at a
limit. Having the freedom to do something doesn’t means that you are allowed to do
anything you want without restrictions. Another impact of noise is that it affects
neighbours’ working or resting progress. As a result, their performance decline
significantly and the harmony between citizens in an area is no longer there. Having noise
restrictions will do everything from maintaining a good city life to preventing unwanted
disturbance.
In my opinion, despite the opinions about the freedom to make noises, it’s better to have
restriction about noise making in order to make life more comfortable and relaxing
overally in a city or town.
