is the sole producer of Ball valves since 1998 after a transfer of the
know-how from Ostaco A.G., Switzerland.
It was a great challenge to manufacture such a well-known product with the same quality,
specifications and features; and it was done by means of:

1. Workshops:

manufactures ball valves using machinery of high technology including C.N.C

milling machines and C.N.C laths to insure very accurate machining for the valve and hence
accurate dimensions of the valves and surface finishing.

The manpower of the workshops (engineers, technicians, …etc) are qualified to deal with the
high technology machines that are in workshops

2 Design and Technical office

design and technical office consists of highly qualified engineers to continually

improve the product and the production line to meet customer needs,and provide efficient
technical support to the customers.

3- After sales service

service team is a team of highly qualified engineers to provide technical support to the
customers and meet customers’ needs.

provides 18 months of complete warranty against manufacturing defects (if presents).

4- Quality Control

Each manufacturing step is subjected to the quality control review to insure the accuracy of the
valves dimensions with respect to the drawings.
EACH valve must pass two types of test:
1-Aِir leakage test, which tests the seats performance
2-Shell thickness test (Hydraulic test), which tests the valve body to ensure that it, can withstand
its nominal pressure.

5- Warehouse

The stock strategy is to provide a 100 % of the components and valve bodies of all the production
lines to be able to continually feed the workshops.
On shelf products stock to minimize delivery time.

 About ball valve

Production of ball valve started in 1961 when TACO, Inc. USA founded its
Headquarter in Europe, the following is the story of :

1961 Foundation of OSTACO AG in Zurich, Switzerland, under the name of

TACO ARMATUREN.
It was the European headquarter to TACO Inc. from Cranston, Rhode Island, USA.
Its business activities were the marketing of HVAC products from TACO USA, to Europe.

1976 Introduction of VALTACO ball valve line.

1979 Foundation of VALTAC Ltd in Stonehouse, England.

1988 Foundation of VALTAC Ltd in Traismauer, Austria.

Oct 1993 VALTAC got the Fire test Certificate from Score (Europe) Ltd./ Lloyd's Edinburgh
Which means that, in the case of fire, MV valves are safe. No internal or external leakage
may occur.

1995 The alternation of the company name to OSTACO AG.

This was as a result of the American former owners to expand in the European market.

Jan 1996 Integration of the well known valve distributor OTTO VOGELI Ltd. in Germany
To improve the market position of the industrial division.

Feb 1996 Start up the assembly plant OSTACO s.r.o in Velesin Republic of Czech.

Jul 1996 Foundation of . INTERVAL AG in Udorf, Switzerland.

To concentrate on the marketing of the industrial valves in the Swiss market.

Dec 1996 Foundation of . INTERVAL AG in Mobile, Alabama, USA.

To be the sales company for the American market.

Feb 1998 Know How Transfer from OSTACO AG to QUALIVAL.

And QUALIVAL became the sole producer of MV ball valves.

Dec 1998 QUALIVAL got ISO 9001 Certificate from TUV-Management Services GmbH.
For design, development and production of MV Ball Valves.

Jan 1999 Transfer of the fire test certificate from OSTACO to QUALIVAL

Feb 1999 QUALIVAL got TA-Air Test Certificate from TUV-Rheinland.

At 100,000 Operating Cycles, for product safeguard against environmental pollution.

Dec.2008 QUALIVAL got API 6D Certificate From AMERICAN PETROLEUM INSTITUTE

Authority to use the official API Monogram License Number : 6D- 0839 & API Q1
Certificate / ISO 9001-2000 / ISO – TS 29001.
