Knowing others is wisdom, knowing yourself is enlightenment.

-Lao Tzu
Taoism significantly influenced Chinese culture from the Shang Dynasty forward and closely related to
an ancient Chinese philosopher and writer named Lao Tzu. Lao Tzu philosophy, which became the main
guideline for Taoist, is scripted in a Chinese classic text called The Dao-de Jing. This philosophy is also
contributed in a Chinese folk religion of people in China that are lived in the rural area. Therefore, it can
be concluded that, Taoism is the combination of philosophy and religion. The Dao-de Jing is an attempt
to remind people that they are connected to others and to the earth and that everyone could live together
peacefully if people would only be mindful of how their thoughts and actions affect themselves, others,
and the earth.

“We have two lives, and the second begins when we realize we only have one” -Confucius
Confucianism, or usually known as Konghucu, is a religion which does not have a specific God to
worship. Confucianism is often characterized as a system of social and ethical philosophy rather than a
religion. The teachings of Confucius are focused on two interrelated areas: Social Teachings, which deal
with the proper behavior of the individual in society, and Political Teachings, which deal with the art of
governance and the proper relationship of the Ruler to the ruled. Basically, Confucianism combines
a political theory and a theory of human nature to yield a dao (tao). Overall, . Confucianism is a belief
that influenced Chinese attitude toward life, set the patterns of living and standards of social value.
“Nothing can hurt you more than your mind allows” -Iron Shinto

Shinto gods are called kami. They are sacred spirits which take the form of things and concepts
important to life, such as wind, rain, mountains, trees, rivers and fertility. The term kami refers
to anything that is above, high, special, or unusual in any way. Amaterasu is arguably the most
prominent and famous of the Shinto gods or kami. Amaterasu is the Sun Goddess who was
born from the left eye socket of a male creator kami named Izanagi. Amaterasu is, of all Shinto
gods, most identified with Japan itself, which is known as the "Land of the Rising Sun."
Amaterasu's image - the sun - appears on the Japanese national flag.

Middle East. Judaism is characterized by a belief in one transcendent God who revealed himself
to Abraham, Moses, and the Hebrew prophets and by a religious life in accordance with
Scriptures and rabbinic traditions. Jewish people believe in the Torah, which contain laws to govern their daily
life. Jewish life is very much the life of a community and there are many activities that Jews must
do as a community. A lot of Jewish religious life is based around the home and family activities.

His favor upon you that you may be grateful” -Al-Ma’idah 5:6

“I break away from all conventions that do not lead to my earthly success and happiness” -Anton

First of all, it is important to know that Satanists did not believe in and worship a spiritual being
known as ‘Satan’ or the ‘devil’. Satanists are atheists who adopt ‘Satan’ as a symbol of passion,
pride and liberty. Anton Szandor Lave, founder of The Church of Satan, presented Satanism not
as the practice of evil or as the worship of an actual Antichrist but as a kind of ethical egoism
(=an ethical theory holding that the good is based on the pursuit of self-interest.) So, basically,
Satanism taught us how to life our life to the fullest without being attached to anything -live in
freedom, just like the quote above.
