Learn-Management-System (LMS):
Our LMS is for all distance learning participants available. Each participant will
receive the access data immediately after the enrollment process. In the LMS you
can find general and current information concerning your course, exercises and
homeworks for your self-control. A forum is also available which allows you to contact
the tutors or other course participants.

-3-
Homework / learning progress control:
Approx. 4 - 6 weeks after the beginning of the course, the participants should finish
the exercises in the LMS to have a better learning control. The results are after test
visible in the LMS. For other questions and uncertainties, the tutor team is helpful in
the forum or by mail.

NOTE: Schedule for the IWE part 3

The GSI distance learning course IWE / IWT - is a blended learning concept.
This concept provides all 4 modules as CBT (Computer Based Training), which all
participants will get it by download. After completing the distance learning parts, the
respective classroom parts must be completed..

At the end of each classroom part a written examination will be carried out.

Attention:
In order to ensure a smooth course planning, we always ask you to register as soon
as possible to the classroom parts. We reserve the right to change the timetable for
individual courses or to cancel individual events.

Completion of the course / examination

The course ends with an oral exam in front of a DVS examiner board. After
completing the exam, the participant receives an International Welding Engineer
diploma respectively an International Welding Technologist diploma.

-4-
Dear participant

We wish you success and the necessary self-discipline for learning process. Please
also consider that many questions concerning the four main modules are also
answered in the classroom period.

Not all learning content is taught in CBT form.

If any problems occur, please contact the e-learning team or one of your tutors.

Thank you very much for your confidence

Your GSI Distance-Learning-Team

Learning recommendation
Recommended process: You should start with module 1, afterwards module 2,
module 3, and finally module 4.
The learning contents of the software must be completely work through before the
participation can join the classroom part of the corresponding module. The exercise
questions at the end of each chapter should all be completed. This is to monitor your
personal progress of learning and to check their own level of knowledge.

Example of learning time IWE part 3: 2 lessons per day x 5 days per week = 10
lessons.
