1.

Martin Heidegger was a German philosopher widely regarded as one of the

twentieth century's most original and influential thinkers. Ontology, or the study of
Being, was Heidegger's principal focus. His ideas have influenced phenomenology,
existentialism, hermeneutics, political theory, psychology, and theology, among
other subjects. Leading postmodernist theorists have accepted his critique of
traditional metaphysics and technological world dominance. His theories have had
a significant impact on the formation of modern European philosophy.
Martin Heidegger is widely regarded as one of the best philosophers of the
modern era. His philosophy is based on the concept of Being. His contribution to
philosophy is the rediscovery of the true meaning of Being, lost to other
philosophers. Being manifests itself in different ways for him at different times.
2. Heidegger is opposed to the misuse of science and technology, not science
and technology itself. According to Heidegger, the poet calls the holy, the
philosopher considers Being, and the men of science and technology want to be
like Being; as a result, the men of science and technology should not develop
things that would bring man progress. People are now slaves to the things they
create; they can no longer think clearly without the aid of a calculator or a cell
phone, and they can no longer spell English words accurately without the aid of a
computer. We are now annihilated human beings.
Modern Technology's essence is "revealing," but the revealing that modern
science and technology rules are challenging, placing unreasonable expectations on
nature. As a result, technology leads to an unauthentic existence, mainly because
the dignity of the human person has been undervalued up until now. Men are now
considered a means to an end, subjected to testing, and even threatened with
extinction.
3. We have come a long way in terms of technology, but we still cannot see the
end of the universe, and it is impossible to see it from the outside. That has kept us
debating if there is an outer world, whether the universe is infinite, whether heaven
exists. People can use technology to see whether their viewpoints are correct
without confirming whether they are correct or incorrect about their beliefs about
life and man's place in the universe. Such advancement in technology will never
assist us in comprehending the whole of our existence - its past, present, and future
- which are all aspects of our perspective of reality or truth (s). We cannot tell
whether attaining such a level of technology is humanly conceivable in the future.
However, for the time being, we must make do with the assumption about our
reality due to the limited knowledge gained through technological means.
Furthermore, it is in this way that we speculate about other people's knowledge and
views. Heidegger might be seen of as an older gentleman romanticizing how
technology should serve us and how things were in the past compared to how they
are now.
The above statements prove that I believe the idea of Martin Heidegger still applies
nowadays.
