Reading 2:
Hwang and Choi, two Korean travellers, went on a sightseeing tour around Hanoi. They had
an enormous breakfast, so they seemed to be rady for the tour. In the morning, They started from the
Sword Lake. They traveled on foot. They went up Hang Hanh Street, one of the most popular coffee
Streests of the capital, as far as Luong Van Can Street. After enjoying two cups of strong coffee,
they went up Hang Trong Street, Hang Dao Street, and stopped for a while at Hang Be Market. They
chose some fresh fruits for lunch. Keeping on along Cha Ca Street, they couldn’t help eating fried
fish with white noodles which is served here. Their trip ended at Quan Truong gate, which is over
hundreds of years old, and was first used as the gate into Thang Long , Ha Noi nowadays. They
spent some hours shopping and walking before coming back to the hotel late in the afternoon.

Reading 4:

Britain is now a highly industrialized country and there are only 238,000 farms in the UK. More and
more farmers leave the land because they can not earn enough money to survive. Only large farms
are economic and because of this most British farm are big. They usually grow cereals in the east of
England and raise sheep and cowsin the north of England and Scotland. The small family farms
often have to earn more money by offering bed and breakfast accommodation to tourists.
Farming methods in Britain have also changed. Fields used to be quite small, divided by hedges
which were sometimes a thousand years old and full of wild flowers and birds. Many hedges were
pulled up to allow farmers to use modern machinery. Now most fields in England are large by
European standards.

Gateshead, where there is one of the biggest shopping centers in the world, the Metro Center.
A few years ago, the main industries were ship building and coal mining, but now the chemical and
soap industries are more important. I moved from Newcastle ten years ago, but I often return. I miss
the people who are so warm and friendly, and I miss the wild, beautiful countryside near the city,
where there are so many hills and streams.
