Key highlights *from 2018 Financial Reports:

A year of strong growth


• Sales grew EUR 271m to reach EUR 6.1bn.
• We grew 7% in local currency – a result of our ability to continuously win market share through strategic
growth initiatives and investments in industry-leading technologies.

Robust result within range of our guidance


• Operating profit (EBIT) amounted to EUR 648m, leading to an EBIT margin of 10.6%.
• Net profit improved 4% to EUR 463m – despite increasing market volatility towards the end of the year.

Cash flow used for acquisitions


• The free cash flow amounted to EUR 446m against EUR 337m in 2017.
• Ensuring a strong cash performance remains a key priority for Danfoss, as we aim to use the free cash flow
for acquisitions, which will further strengthen the business.
• In 2018, Danfoss completed four acquisitions and announced another two, adding new digital technologies
and electric solutions to the product portfolio.

Low leverage ratio


• Net interest-bearing debt was further reduced by EUR 88m to EUR 962m, leading to a net interest-bearing
debt to EBITDA ratio of 1.0.
• Our continuous, strong financial performance including a low leverage ratio allows us to continue to expand
and develop Danfoss as a leader within our industries.

Increased investments in the future
• Ensuring a high level of investments in innovation remains a key priority to drive the long-term sustainable
growth for Danfoss. In 2018, we invested a record EUR 255m into innovation, equal to 4.2% of sales. The
innovation spend was up 9% ̶ or by EUR 21m ̶ compared to the previous year.
• The innovation activities were concentrated around digitalization of the portfolio and on developing
energyefficient and value-adding solutions in the business segments.

2020 and Beyond

This acquisition will lead to Danfoss and specifically the Danfoss Business System being positions in the centre of the
transformation activities and ongoing integration and change management activities of the new business. With 30+
plants in the Eaton Hydraulics footprint, it created great opportunity and growth.

THE POSITION STORY

Since the mid 2000’s Danfoss has been on a journey of continuous improvement and transformation across all of
their business lines and in all of their regions across the globe. The Danfoss Business System (DBS) is responsible for
driving practice and performance through our one company approach covering entire Danfoss value Chain. It’s also
the centre of excellence for leading the Digital Transformation for the business.

You will become part of Danfoss Business System and enabled Danfoss’ divisions to continuously improve
performance by systematically spreading best practice throughout the value chain and report to the Head of Global
DPP task force.

The DBS function has been building high performing teams across the regional hubs in Europe, North America and
China where Danfoss has it core footprint of manufacturing/engineering facilities as well as its sales and marketing
offices. As a DBS team member, you’ll be working on large scale transformation activities which are key in driving
the strategic direction and plans set by Danfoss GET (Global Executive Team).

continuously engineering tomorrow.

As Senior Lean Transformation Leader / Expert, you will lead global projects mainly based in the Turkish markets and
drive change management initiatives in order to implement best practice manufacturing tools and processes.

DELIVERY and SAFETY, enabling Danfoss to earn customer loyalty.

Great responsibility and impact


In this position you will be responsible for implementing Lean methodology using Danfoss Productivity Program
(DPP) tools and processes. You will be the owner of our roadmaps and have the full overview of all running projects,
so you effectively can overcome various “roadblocks”.

Your main responsibilities will include:


• Driving and improving results by leveraging lean tools, consulting skills, and change management process
and take primary responsibility for implementation of lean initiatives within manufacturing plants and its
associated value streams.
• Challenging and supporting factory and divisional management to drive a culture of high performance and
continuous improvement.
• Responsibility for support and development of Lean Experts/Navigators, Continuous Improvement
Specialists, Supervisors, Operators and Managers.
• Creating long term activity roadmaps and lean transformation projects for our Danish factories including
Kaizen and step change projects.
• Solid business acumen with substantial leadership experience

• To be successful, you possess a high level of energy and drive for delivering results and significant
achievements. You work persistently to achieve your goals, and you possess the necessary cooperation skills
to develop solid relations. Equally you have the ability to connect and communicate with people at all levels,
which enables you to train, coach and challenge others.
• You have gained your leadership experience from a manufacturing environment in a large or medium-sized
manufacturing company, e.g. as Plant Manager or Head of Production. This is combined with experience in
change management and implementing Lean Management tools and methods.

• Leadership experience from operation.
• Mastery of a variety of improvement lean tools.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Fluent in Danish and English, written and verbally.
• Black Belt Certification, Master Black Belt is a plus.
