INVENTORY
We all know that no one country can produce everything. It is common in any country that not all
products are made by them. It depends on the availability of the raw materials. Since our country
(Philippines) is an island nation, there is a range of limitations on our own production. Even if it is
manufactured in the Philippines, some of the raw materials would come from abroad. All countries
have such programs that not all services would be available to them. But it's normal to borrow from
others for them to produce a product. Raw materials are sourced from metals, wood, minerals,
crops, and meat. There are a lot of factors to consider regarding the type of raw materials that can
be obtained from a particular place. In the Philippines, coconuts, mangoes, and precious metals
abound, that’s why we’re exporting products that are made from these materials.
Some products produce here in the Philippines because of the availability of raw materials. From
grain to raw materials and crafts, our country is undeniably rich in natural resources. Some products
are made abroad because they have more expertise in some fields or are only producing a piece of
product and others but the main reason is the availability of its raw materials.
Knowing why certain products are made in the Philippines while others are produced abroad, still,
consumers are patronizing or importing goods as a status sign, and they believe that whether they
are foreign products, they have a higher standard and are of better quality, or else they have a
biased attitude to local products. However, based on my research, the Philippines' products are of
high quality. Many foreign garments are manufactured in the region; however, they do not bear the
label "made in the Philippines" because there is a common belief that goods made in the Philippines
are inferior.
