ABSTRACT
Robbery is defined by common law as stealing from someone with the use of violence or
the threat of harm. Robbery, which is committed by robbers, makes people uneasy since it can
happen at any time. Security systems have proven to be an effective way to reduce it, but they
are not for everyone due to its high cost. This study aims to develop a home security system that
The main materials are gathered, including the siren, motion detector, and Wi-Fi
connector. They are laid out on plywood, and then the main materials are connected to a power
source through the use of wires. The motion detector is then mounted on a door frame.
The tests have been shown that the product is effective in terms of flashing lights and

Robbery arises everywhere in which individuals called thieves carry out the act of
stealing, part of the most common crimes are home break-ins and robbery. It can simply happen
from one’s house to anywhere which makes everyone uneasy thinking about becoming a victim
of it. PIR Sensor is the short form of Passive Infrared Sensor. It detects the IR radiations emitted
from the humans and produces a digital output. This digital output is applied to The UM3561
siren IC. It generates multi siren tones like ambulance siren, fire engine siren, police siren,
machine gun sound. Generally, in security systems, infrared or laser transmitters and receivers
are used. But methods are cost effective. This article explains about PIR sensor is used instead of
transmitter or receiver. This saves the power consumption and is low cost. PIR sensor is the form
of Passive Infrared Sensor. When the owner isn’t around their houses or the current occupant
isn’t capable of fending for the property which makes it very easy for that kind of crime to
happen. As of today when people leave their house to buy necessities for their home, thieves or
even those who are struggling to make a living and is in desperate situation might see it as an
together resources to facilitate the creation, use and sharing of knowledge, is to make tasks
simpler and to solve such unfortunate activities. Security is one of the most important factor
today. Technology develops day by day in the world, technology of security should be modern
with time to protect the crime works. Security nowadays has been developed to a much more
reliable device to help and protect our possessions and even ourselves.
We the researchers, have thought of using infrared laser as a part of a security system that
will help notify others and fend away the thieves. Ideas such as Infrared Laser Security Alarm
have been developed with today’s technology in which it can be used as a home security device.
It has a potential to detect thieves and notify the owner or even others. CCTV stands for closed-
circuit television. The “Infrared Laser Security Alarm System” can be an alternative to CCTV’s
and other alarms that can be easily predicted by the burglar. However not all families can
purchase one, that is why we made it from materials that are affordable and easy to find, it can be
placed inside and outside the house. Hence, it has provided room for potential research into an
improvised security alarm system with a night vision camera. In addition, it will alarm nearby
people because not only it will have a function to make noises but also to flashlights, making it
This study aims to prevent further robbery cases that might occur in anyone’s home,
making them feel safe knowing the fact of home security system. It emphasizes how good it is
for our lives as technology improves and makes our lives make even more convenient. This
project should prove helpful in future applications with some modifications, playing a significant
This study entitled Infrared Laser Security Alarm System, have considered using infrared
laser technology into a security system that will alert others and deter robbers. Home break-ins
and robbery are two of the most common types of robbery that occur everywhere where
individuals known as thieves commit the act of stealing. It brings together resources to make
knowledge generation, use, and sharing easier, as well as to address such terrible events. It will
also alert nearby individuals because it will have the ability to produce noises as well as flash
lights, making it easier to spot even in the dark. This research tries to prevent future robberies in
people's homes by making them feel protected knowing that they have a home security system.

Introduction Methodology
GATHERING OF MATERIALS
Gather the main materials like the siren, motion detector, and wi-fi connector. First
connect the wires and these main components to a power source. Then after that we lay them out
on a 57x19 cm plywood to sort out the components of our device as shown in the image below.
(Fig.6). The motion detector is installed on a doorframe, connected by an extension of wire to the
device.
They first assembled our device into a plywood but decided to transfer it into a house for
further trials and revision but there can be many ways of setting up this device into the house, but
in this demonstration they will use a simple representation of a blank room where the infrared
beam is set an inch near and at the bottom of the door. Make sure that the detector can detect the
movement of the door if it’s opened. (In any kind of setup position make sure that the laser is
always aligned to anywhere that can catch motion without obstruction between them.) If the door
opens it will block out the laser light causing the sensor to set off the alarm. The camera, for
example will be set on the other side of the door stuck on the part of the wall that has a view of
the doorway, if the sensor sets off the camera, it will take a picture of the entity that opened the
door. At the same time the sensor will set off the alarm to either fend it away or notify nearby
people.
The product was put to the test by the researchers through trial and error. The first trial
was carried out in Poblacion 1, Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija. In the first trial the beam and sensor did
not work. In the second trial the siren worked but it continued to flash lights and make noises
even when the sensor detected nothing. In the third trial the researchers found out that the
terminal was incorrectly inserted into the five pin relay. After multiple trials, the researchers
were unable to correctly insert it, which is why Mr. Aryel Jim Galam was contacted for
assistance. Following the circuit diagram he correctly inserted the terminal into the five pin relay.
This study entitled “Infrared Laser Security Alarm System” aims to help lessen burglary
cases as well as to increase home-security in urban places or places which are most-likely to be
robbed. Specifically this study will be significant and be helpful to the following:
TO THE COMMUNITY – It can contribute a huge amount of help to those who needs it and to
also increase the security system in houses and other vicinities that are high on crime rates. It can
also lessen the amount of robbery cases which has become one of the major problems that we
TO THE RESEARCHER – This product can not only help the community but also the
researchers in a way of inventing such products and by promoting awareness in urban places. It
is best suitable for researchers because it doesn’t cost too much money and the materials are easy
to find
TO THE STUDENTS – It can be an inspiration and motivation for the students to follow the
footsteps of the researcher and to create greater inventions in the future. And can also serve as an

The siren alarm can be heard in the whole house. The alarm can be heard to the ground
floor even while installed in the second floor. However, the Infrared Laser Security Alarm
System can be heard from a distance of 2400 cm, alerting the individual that someone is
The infrared beam sensor can reach a distance of 506.5 cm. The distance installed
through the door frame, on the other hand, is 351 cm long. If the wires used is longer, the
infrared beam sensor can cover a much wider space or can even be placed outside the house.
Measurement of distance of that alarm (light) can be seen:
In order for the researchers to know how far the distance the light can be seen, the
researchers activate the Infrared Laser Security Alarm System, allowing them to estimate the
distance of the light produced by the siren. They arrive at a length of 1098 cm.
