CHAPTER 3

METHOD

This chapter presents the research design of the study, the participants, the research

instruments, the data gathering procedure, and the data analysis.

Research Design

This study employed the descriptive quantitative research design using survey technique.

The researchers collect and record the possible characteristics of a Paulinian in the eyes

of the students in terms of their characteristic of being a Paulinian Model. The chosen

research design is deemed appropriate as the study aims to determine the participants’

characteristics such as their profile of the Teachers, Students and Parents. 

Participants

The participants of this study will have forty-five (45) college students in St. Paul

University Surigao.

Instrument

This study used a questionnaire to be given to the respondents in St. Paul University

Surigao to determine the characteristics of the Paulinian Model in the eyes of the

students.

Data Gathering Procedure

The researchers will submit a formal letter to the Dean of the College of Education,

Culture and Arts Department and draft questionnaire subject to the approval of the dean

and adviser before it will be given to respondents to conduct the study researchers. And

will have it approve by the adviser that will be given to the respondents. Once approved,

the researchers will provide questionnaires to the respondents.  

Data Analysis

The following are the statistical tools to be used in treating the data.

Frequency and Sample Percentage. These tools are to be used in describing the profile of

the respondents and determine the total response of the said participants.

Mean and Standard Deviation. These tools are to be used in identifying the

Surigao on the Paulinan actions, behaviour, values and morals which they practiced that

serve as their identity of becoming Paulinan.

Analysis and Variance. These tools are to be used in determining the significant of the

Characteristics of the Paulinan Model in the eyes of the students in St. Paul University

Surigao on the Paulinan actions, behaviour, values and morals which they practiced that

serve as their identity of becoming Paulinan.
