ABSTRACT

This study is focused on the Characterizing the Paulinian as a model in the eyes of
the students. Our goal is to determine the characteristics of being a Paulinian and how the
students considered them as a model for what they have observed through their actions and
behaviors.

Our respondents in this study are the teachers, students, and parents who are engage
at St. Paul University Surigao (SPUS). They can participate through asking them about the
Characteristics of a Paulinian model through the given questionnaires. In this study, the
researchers worked and gather data as pair.

With this research, the researchers will also determine what are the Paulinian
identity, values, behavior, and morals that they practiced to become a true Paulinian Model.

This study will use a descriptive quantitative type of research methodology. The
data gathering instruments are questionnaires and interviews. The result of the data that can
be gather will based on the responses of the respondents.

CHAPTER 1

THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

The aim of this study is to determine what are the characteristics of a Paulinian model in the

eyes of the students. That includes what are the Paulinian actions, behavior, values, and

morals which they practiced that serve as their identity of becoming a Paulinian student. It

shows how the characteristics of a Paulinian who acts as a role model in the entire school. The

true identity of a Paulinian will be determined from this study. This study will reveal how the

college students identify and describe the Paulinians qualities. Being a Paulinian model will

act as a community-oriented person who is morally sensitive in the service of family, church

and one’s country. Their decisions are based on the goodness of the general public or

community. Paulinians have the pure heart that made them being kind and generous by

helping those who are less fortunate and take actions for those people who are affected by any

natural disasters. They serve, and do their responsibilities not just in school but as well is the

community, just like following Jesus’ footsteps.

Hypothesis

A Paulinian is a Charitable, Simple and humble, Studious, Zealous and Daring,

Pious, and Compassionate.

Significance of the Study

This investigation is essential in order to learn what communities think of

being a Paulinian. In addition, they wanted to see what attributes they could

recognize or associate with a Paulinian as a role model. We can benefit from this

research by recognizing, adopting, and comprehending the characteristics of a

Paulinian. It will also demonstrate that the characteristics of a Paulinian model

may be found in real life and we can benefit as individuals.
