Truck Error Code, Parameter, Description

Truck Control Unit

MID144 PID29 FMI3


Accelerator Pedal Sensor 2. (only for truckss with dual control)
Voltage of the signal from the pedal sensor is higher than 4.3 V. Breakage of the ground wire.
Shorting the signal wire to a higher voltage. Defective sensor or idle switch 3
accelerator pedals.

Accelerator Pedal Sensor 2. (only for cars with dual control)
Signal voltage from the pedal sensor is below 0.4 V. An open signal or supply wire. Shorting the
signal wire to ground. Pedal sensor may be defective.

Primary Air Pressure (only for trucks with air suspension)
Pressure in the Air Duspension Receiver is above normal. The compressor discharge valves in
the compressor head are faulty, the wiring of the Compressor discharge solenoid valve in the
dehumidifier is damaged. Damaged, dirty or clogged valve compressor discharge valve in the
dehumidifier. Air pressure sensor is faulty (the sensor is located behind the instrument panel on
the right).

Truck control unit receives a signal from a sensor with a voltage below 3.1 V (corresponds to 9.7
bar) for the older version and below 2.6 V (corresponds to 8.0 bar) for the newer version. Air
pressure below normal. Air leak, clogged, damaged air lines or air suspension components.

Primary Air Pressure (only for vehicles with air suspension)
Vehicle Control Unit receives a signal from a sensor with a voltage above 4.5 V (corresponding
to 15 bar). Open wire connection to ground. Shorting the signal wire to a higher voltage. Air
pressure sensor may be defective (the sensor is located behind the Instrument Panel on the right).

Vehicle Control Unit receives a signal from a sensor with a voltage above 0.5 V. An open signal
or supply wire. Shorting the signal wire to ground. Air Pressure Sensor may be defective.

Primary air pressure (only for vehicles with air suspension)
Manifested when the signal from the truck Control Unit is sent to the dehumidifier, and air
pressure in the system continues to increase. Damaged or clogged compressor valve control pipe
from dehumidifier. Faulty valves in the Compressor head (jammed in the closed position).
Damaged wiring between the car control unit and the unloading valve on the Dehumidifier.
Damaged, dirty or clogged valve compressor discharge valve in the Dehumidifier. Air pressure
sensor is faulty (the sensor is located behind the Instrument Panel on the right). Safety valve
should go off. If the safety valve is clogged and doesn't work, it is possible that the Compressor
head seals fail and a large amount of air from the Compressor enters the Engine Cooling System.

Truck Speed Signal
Bbig Difference between the speed signals coming from the tachograph (via the SAE J1939 data
channel or to the contact of the vehicle control unit) and the speed signals from the wheel
rotation sensors (ABS). Before troubleshooting the system of the car control unit, read the ABS /
EBS error codes and eliminate the causes of their manifestation. Also possible that the wiring is
faulty or the signals from the tachograph are not correct. Perhaps there were manipulations with
the speed sensor or with the wiring between the speed sensor on the gearbox and the tachograph.

Speed Signals from the Tachograph aren't correct. Damaged circuit. Speed Sensor on the
Gearbox or Tachograph may be defective.

Preset Speed (Cruise Control)
Vehicle Control Unit (VECU) doesn't receive information from the adaptive cruise control
(ACC) Control Unit via the SAE J1939 data channel. Broken or partial damage to the data
channel. Perhaps the ACC block is faulty.

Accelerator Pedal Position
Voltage of the signal supplied to the Control Unit from the accelerator pedal sensor is higher
than 4.3 V. Breakage of the power or ground wire. Shorting the signal wire to a higher voltage.
Perhaps the pedal position sensor or pedal idle switch 1 is faulty. Sensor and switches are
integrated with the accelerator pedal.

Voltage of the signal supplied to the Control Unit from the accelerator pedal sensor is below 0.4
V. Breakage of the power supply or signal. Shorting the signal wire to ground. Defective or

Voltage at the contact of the Vehicle Control Unit with the unused function below 2.3 V.
Breakage of the power supply wire of the power take-off solenoid valve. Open wire between

defective.

The code is registered in the event of an internal malfunction in the software, while the internal
independent function of restarting the vehicle control unit is triggered. The code is informational

Vehicle Management Unit has detected voltage below 3 V on the switches' power lead. Closing
the power cable by mass, closing the signal cable of the accelerator pedal, brake or clutch switch

The Vehicle Management Unit has detected voltage below 3 V on the switches' power lead.
Closing the power cord to mass. Closing the signal wire of the cruise control switch. Signal wire
short circuit on the VCB/EPG motor brake switch signal cable by weight. Signal wire short-
circuit to the SET+/SET-/RESUME / ON switch signal wire weights.

Power Supply to Accelerator Pedal Sensor and Retarder Switch
Truck control unit detected a voltage of more than 5.3 V on the power cord. Breakage of the
mass wire, short-circuit to a higher voltage, breakage of the supply wire. The retarder switch or
accelerator pedal sensor may be faulty. Pins in the connectors are damaged or oxidized.

may be defective.

Vehicle Control Unit registers the voltage below 2.3 V on contact PB18. Breakage of the
solenoid wire of the demultiplier interlocking valve. Circuit to the mass of the wire between the
solenoid valve and the control unit. Solenoid valve may be defective (located at the rear of the
gearbox on the demultiplier cylinder). Contacts in the connectors are damaged or oxidized.

Vehicle control unit registers the voltage of more than 6.5 V. Power cord short circuit or faulty

Regeneration of the Air Dryer
Regeneration Valve is open for 30 s and the pressure in the pneumatic system has not changed.
Damper silencer is clogged, the regeneration valve is dirty, defective and doesn't open. Wiring
between the control unit and the solenoid valves in the dehumidifier is damaged. Check the fuses
F10 or F6 (depending on electronic equipment version). Check the 24 V. power supply on the
black wire of the solenoid valve connector of the dehumidifier.

the accelerator pedal is faulty.

A signal within the range of 0-13 % of the no-load switch is not fed to the vehicle control unit.
Power or signal wire breakage. Closing of the signal line by plus or mass. Contacts in the
connectors are damaged or oxidized. It is possible that the switch integrated with the accelerator
pedal is faulty.

VECU registers a high voltage or a voltage equal to the voltage of the batteries on pin PB16 from
the power take-off solenoid valve. Short circuit between the solenoid valve and the control unit
to a higher voltage or the solenoid valve is faulty.
