OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Panel Serial Number Reference: CB2055

6.1 The control unit normally does not require adjustment in
service except for setting the impressed current.
6.2 The recommended current settings are as follows:

Sea Water Recommen Max Non

Flow Rate
Service Anode Type ded Current Current operation
m3/hr
Identification (Amps) (Amps) (Amps)
10” Pipe line x
500 CU 25-14 0.80 2.0 0.1
6Nos. AL 25-14

6.3 Recommended current should be set to start with. This should

remain constant for 2 years.
6.4 Best efficiency can be ensured by periodic inspection of the
system being protected. The length of pipe, strainer, heat
exchanger etc. must be examined where possible after 6
months. If there is evidence of fouling, the current on the
corresponding Cu anode should be increased within the limits
shown above.
6.5 If after 12 months from commissioning no fouling is evident,
current in the particular line can be reduced by 0.1amp at a
time once in 3 months but to within the min current limit
specified above.
6.6 When current impressed to anodes goes below 0.1 Amps
under current is displayed. When impressed current exceeds 2
Amps, over current is displayed. This is a common indicator for
both the faults.

6.7 The anode output voltage can be read by using a selector
switch.
6.8 It is good practice to check the (current) digital displays
periodically.
6.9 When the anodes have nearly reached the end of their
design life the wear probe will activate and an audio-visual
alarm will go off in the panel. The audio alarm can be
stopped by pressing the reset button briefly and releasing but
the visual alarm will remain till the anode is replaced.
6.10 The approximate remaining life after the alarm goes off is TWO
MONTHS. However, this is approximate and care should be
taken to ensure that in case there is a delay beyond 2 months
after the alarm goes off in dry docking or anode
replacements the particular module should be shut off.
6.11 ENSURE SPARE ANODES ARE RE-ORDERED IN TIME. Please
quote the ORDER Reference while re-ordering.
6.12 The design life of the anodes 2.0 Years
