SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the summary of findings and conclusions based in the
analysis and interpretation of data. Recommendations are made concerning the
beneficiaries in this study.

Summary of Findings

The main purpose of this study was to determine the students and instructors’
satisfaction level towards the BHRST Laboratories of Bohol Island State University -

Bilar Campus. Specifically, it aimed to determine: the satisfaction level of students and

instructors towards the BHRST laboratories of BISU-Bilar Campus in terms of: Facility,

Safety, Storage, Energy and Water Supply, Tools and Equipment, Sanitation/Waste

Disposal; and the significant difference in the satisfaction level towards BHRST

laboratories between students and instructors?

In this study, the researchers used the descriptive survey method to gather

factual information about the subject of the study. The instrument used was a

questionnaire. The answers of the respondents were collected, tallied and presented in

tables. The data gathered were analyzed, computed and interpreted using the

percentage, weighted mean formula and the T- test.

The following were the findings of the study based on the data obtained.

Level of students and instructors’ satisfaction. In terms of facility, both

students and instructors are rated “Satisfied” with the grand mean 3.47 for students and
3.77 for instructors. In safety, the students rated “satisfied” with the grand mean of 3.52

while instructors rated “neither satisfied nor unsatisfied” with the grand mean of 3.35.

Tools and equipment, the students rated “satisfied” as well as with the grand mean of

3.66 and the instructors rated “neither satisfied nor unsatisfied” with the great mean of

3.32. The storage, energy and water supply, sanitation aspects are both rated “neither

satisfied nor unsatisfied” by students and instructors.

Significant Difference. It was shown that there was no significant difference between

depicted that the obtained computed t (0.857) was lower than the tabulated t (2.228),

thus the null hypothesis was accepted.

Conclusions.

Based on the findings, the following conclusions were drawn:

It is concluded that the students and instructors are “satisfied” of the facility, and

only students are “satisfied” of the safety, tools and equipment while the instructors

rated “neither satisfied nor satisfied”.

Furthermore, the students and instructor respondents are “neither satisfied nor

unsatisfied” of the storage, energy and water supply, sanitation aspect of BHRST

Laboratories of Bohol Island State University – Bilar Campus.

In addition, the students and instructor respondents have the same level

satisfaction when it comes to the facilities of the school.

Recommendations.

Based on the conclusions drawn from the study, the researchers came up with

the following recommendations:

1. BHRST Laboratories of BISU – Bilar improve and maintain the good condition of the

facility so that the students can easily maneuver inside the room and let the students

finish their work and provide comfort of what they are doing. And must check the

conditions of the facilities every year.

2. Safety must be efficient, reliable, and noticeable including the precautionary

measures, safety guidelines and rules regulations inside the laboratory.

3. Storage must be regularly cleaned up so that there will be no foul odors, and no

pests. It must be stored with right and proper tools, equipment, utensils, and must have

labels on each storage.

4. The school must add water tanks order to supply the basic needs especially with this

concern.

5. The school must provide adequate and appropriate tools and equipment in each area

of laboratories so that the students and instructors will be satisfied.

6. The school must build more comfort rooms and must maintain it properly for the

students and instructors' convenience. The school should hire additional employee who

will maintain the cleanliness of the comfort rooms.
