HEADQUARTERS
PEMBROKE MARINA, CITY OF PEMBROKE
ENTRY FEE: $110.00 per team
The remaining 30% of the monies raised for big fish will go towards the
Civitan Club to assist in our fund-raising efforts.
A signed and completely filled out entry form accompanied by a cheque (no post-
dated cheques), money order or email deposit in the amount of $110.00 (non-
refundable) per team must be received by Tournament Officials on and before Aug 13,
2022. Acceptance to this tournament is on a first come basis
An orientation meeting will be held at the Pembroke Legion, 202 Pembroke Street
East, or at the Pembroke Marina TBA on Friday August 12 th , 2022 at 7:00 pm.
FISHING HOURS:
Saturday August 13th from 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
BOUNDARIES:
From the Inter-Provincial Bridge, including Hazely Bay, to the Swisha (Des Jochaims)
located on the Ottawa River.
IDENTIFICATION:
Each boat will be given a number I.D. tag. The tag will be issued before you leave the
marina. This tag must be returned after you have checked in at the end of the
tournament hours so we can make sure everyone has safely returned.
PICTURES:
This is a fund-raising event and therefore pictures will be taken for the sole purpose of
promoting this event. If you do not wish to have your picture taken please let the
officials know or indicate this in your Entry form.
INSPECTIONS:
Each boat will be inspected by Officials at launch time and once inspected your I.D. tag
will be given to you. You will provide at this time your COVID QUETIONER for persons
in your boat to the officials. Boats may be inspected by Officials during the event.
Teams not checked in at the end of the day will not be eligible for any prizes. While
boats are being loaded at the end of the Tournament hours, officials will retrieve the
I.D. tags assigned to your boat. Contestants landing late for weigh-ins will be
assessed; a weight penalty at the rate of 6 oz per minute will be applied. Penalties
will come off the largest fish first.
FISHING:
All Federal and Provincial Boating and Fishing Regulations must be observed at all
times. Registered teams must fish together. Non targeted fish must be released. You
are allowed to weigh in 6 bass at the weigh in. You will be allowed to hold 7 fish in
your live well up to the time you enter the holding area before you weigh in.
Reminder SIX fish will be allowed for weigh in. Minimum length for bass will be 12
inches. Any fish measured less than 12 inches the Chief Official will rule the fish as
non-eligible and a 1-pound penalty shall be deducted from the team's balance of
weight for each under sized fish. All fish will be measured from the snout to the tip of
the tail. Fish which in the opinion of the judges cannot be released and expected to
survive will be assessed a penalty of 6 oz. This is not a live bait tournament which
includes salted minnows.
LIVE WELLS:
Live wells are mandatory for this tournament.
LARGEST FISH
Only one fish per team may be declared the largest fish. Entrants must declare
individual fish before weigh-ins. DECISIONS OF THE JUDGES: Officials and Judges
decision are FINAL.
PRIZES:
All standings shall be determined on a pure weights basis including live release
penalties. All prizes are team prizes. In the case of a TIE for first place, the prize for
First and second places will be added together and split between the two teams, the
next prize will be for third place.
ALL ENTRANTS:
All entrants must make every effort to maintain fish survival. Tournament Entrants
may be disqualified for any violations and will not receive a refund of their entry fee.
TAKE OFF:
Will be from the end of the entrance to the marina and consist of five boats at a time
at about 30 second intervals. Entrants are expected to be in the water by 6:50 a.m.
for the start if not the Entrants will have to wait until all the boats have left before
they can proceed to fish.
WEIGH-IN:
Fish are to remain in live wills until weigh in at the weigh in station. This is to protect
fish survival. Once fish have been weighed, Officials will return fish to the river.
PRIZE STRUCTURE:
The prize structure will be based on a full field of 100 teams from 2 nd to 10th place. In
the event that the field is not filled, prize structure will be changed based on number
of entries, for example if 50 teams register, the top five will receive prized. If 60
teams, then the top six will qualify for prizes, etc., etc. There will be one prize for the
biggest bass caught at an entry cost of $20.00 per team and the prize will be a split of
monies collected being 70% for biggest fish and 30% of the monies raised for big fish
will go towards the Civitan Club to assist in our fund-raising efforts. Please check off
on your Entry form and include the $20.00 with your entry fee.
