1. All other details than as given in the topic should be assumed appropriately
2. Layout plans within the dimensions specified can be given logically.
3. All designs should include the design of the substructures such as foundations, piers etc (design of piles and pile caps for bridges need not be done) Buildings SBC 200 kPa
4. Topics given on design of roof systems should include the design of the structure below as well, all the way upto the foundation, including base plates and pedestals
5. Wind and earthquake loads should be taken based on the location given. For bridge designs, the relevant RDSO loading should be adopted but hydrodynamic loads such as drag, scour etc
need not be considered
6. For earthquake design, all frames can be designed as OMRF and the basic provisions of IS:13920-2016 alone can be followed. Static equivalent method can be adopted for design and
pushover analysis is not necessary

7. All submissions should include an introductory section explaining the given problem, the layout and other details decided by you (including materials adopted), the modelling strategy,
analysis types used, loads and load combinations, load calculations, representative analysis results such as a BMD/SFD of interest, sample design calculations of each type of structural
element and properly made structural drawings and detailing. Drawings in AutoCAD are preferred though manual drawings are accepted as long as they are well-dimensioned, legible and neat

8. Any standard software of your choice such as STAAD, SAP or ETABS may be used. If any analysis is decided to be done manually, the same should be shown in full calculation.
