On Oct 9th, Mohammad Eslami,
head of the Atomic Energy
Organization of Iran announced
that Iran now has 120 kg of 20%
enriched uranium fuel. This
figure is alarming, since the
original deal was for only 3.67%
of enriched fuel. Also, this figure
is 30% higher than the estimates
recently given by the IAEA who
has watch dog oversight to the
Iranian enrichment program. Iran
claims this enrichment is not for
a bomb. However, there is no
commercial application for
enriched uranium at these levels.
Iran is well on its way to having
enough enriched uranium to
create a bomb. A 90% threshold
is required for a nuclear bomb,
but the level of effort to go from
20% to 90% is minimal.
Conservative estimates are that
Iran will have enough uranium to
produce at least one bomb within
6 months, if not more. Israel’s
Foreign Minister traveled to the
US the week of 18 Oct for talks
with Sec Blinken stating, “all
options are on the table.” Israel
does not have the bunker bombs
necessary to destroy the enriched
uranium storage below ground.
They need US assistance if they
will be successful. The Israeli
Air Force has begun bombing
run rehearsals and $1.5B is
requested of the Knesset to
support this effort. See Daniel 8.

Weird Scripture - Samson’s Riddle
Judges 14:12-14
Samson did what was right in his own eyes and took for
himself a Philistine wife in disobedience to the commands
of God. At his wedding feast, Samson wagered to 30
Philistines that they could not solve a riddle. They agreed to
the wager and Samson told them the riddle …
“Out of the eater came something to eat.

Out of the strong came something sweet.”
The Philistines conspired with Samson’s wife to get the answer
out of him and so they solved the riddle …
“What is sweeter than honey?

What is stronger than a lion?”
This enraged Samson and he killed 30 Philistines stealing their
garments to pay the wager. He also gave his wife away to the
best man at the wedding. Was there a deeper meaning to this
riddle then it just being a tragic story?
We can see this passage as having two meanings, both
reflecting the ability of God to bring good (honey) out of evil
(sin & death). On one level, it foretells what is yet to come in
the life of Samson. Like the lion, sin is constantly close by
seeking opportunity to attack, but the Holy Spirit is our best
defense. Even so, God uses the circumstance of Samson’s
disobedience (sin) to bring about his purpose of judgment upon
the Philistines. This does not justify the sin of Samson, it only
illustrates that God can bring about his will despite our
disobedience. This same pattern of Samson’s will versus God’s
will extends throughout his life, when at his death, he destroys
the temple of Dagon and kills thousands of Philistines.
On a prophetic level, this strange passage foreshadows the
prophetic coming of the Messiah as the Lion of Judah. This
reveals that the death of the lion is a prophetic symbol of the
sacrificial death of Jesus being the Lion of Judah. Jesus Christ
dies and is raised to new life answering the questions of “What
is sweeter than honey? What is stronger than a lion?”
