EVENT RULES AND MECHANICS: COMPUTER SYSTEMS SERVICING

1. Only the officially enrolled learner/with LRN/ students is eligible to join the contest.
2. Materials should be submitted to the contest committee one and half (1 ½) hour before the
contest proper.
3. The contest involves the following:
 Disassembling and Assembling of the System Unit.
 Create bootable flash drive using Rufus application for Windows Server 2019.
 Install MS Office 2013
 Web Browser (Mozilla Firefox)
 Cable Management
 Set-up Router with SSID & Password
 Perform Remote Desktop Connection
 Perform print test

Description: The contestant will ensure the functionality of the computer parts for the
Disassemble & Assemble. Installing Operating System for Server 2019 in one PC. Another PC use
for creating bootable flash drive using Rufus & copying of Application software. They will also
demonstrate the core skills. Time allotted is two (3) hours.
Criteria for Judging

Proper use of tools, materials, and equipment 20%

Applying OHS, procedure, time and speed ability 20%

Present the Finish work 40%

 PPE – Personal Protective Equipment.
b) Tools/equipment  Sets of Screw Driver, Crimping tool &
punch down tools.
 2 desktop computer – Core i5, 4 threads
 8GB RAM
 Rack with Switch/Hub
 Cat5e UTP Cable & RJ45
 TP-Link Router
c) others  Print Server & Printer

Note: Each contestant must be use same specifications of computer, application software &
router. Working tables with Electrical Outlet be provided by the Host Venue.
