PHLGA SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

MINUTES
DATE: March 9, 2022
In Attendance: Linda Ward, Jan Callaghan, Candyce Baker,
Karen Lord, and Vicki Hook. Guests: Mike Dixon, Margie
Herberger.
Call to order: Linda Ward called the meeting to order at 11:00
a.m.
Discussion: This meeting was called so changes could be made
on the LGA Procedures and Special Information.
There were minor changes and eliminations made to some of
the procedures. Mike made helpful suggestions and we discussed
each category, keeping in mind that we wanted to play within USGA
rules.
One discussion included how withdrawals and inclement
weather would be handled by the Pro Shop. Below is the new
procedure:
Withdrawals Any player withdrawing from any competition,
including Thursday Play Days, is ineligible for birdies, chip-ins, and
ringers even if she continues playing for fun. Player's scorecard
should be clearly marked with a circled WD at the appropriate hole
and turned in to the Pro Shop.

In the event that a player’s partners all withdraw, leaving her
to play alone, the player can

• Move forward or back to join another group

• Or, if no other group is available, call the Pro Shop for
guidance.

Inclement weather In the event of inclement weather, Pro

Shop staff will determine whether to start or continue play. In the
event of cancellation after a tournament has begun, Pro Shop staff
will notify players in person.

Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 12:00 p.m.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Candyce Baker, PHLGA

Secretary.
