I’d like you to imagine that you need to prepare an
assignment about some predictions for the future. These are
some of the topics you can talk about. Now, you have some
time to look at the task.

(You have 30-45 seconds to look at the task)

Please, talk to each other about how likely you think


these predictions are to happen.
Talking about the future
 People will learn languages online only and language schools will disappear.
 Shopping malls will completely disappear as people will prefer to buy things
online.
 Due to easy access to technology, people will definitely work longer hours.
 People will stop going to the cinema as platforms like Netflix will become more
popular.
 Robots will find it easy to manipulate humans.
 The effects of climate change will be irreversible.

Talk to each other about how likely you think these predictions are to happen.

You don’t need to discuss all the topics. Speak for about 3 minutes.

that you are in charge of organizing an event for your
company, but there is a problem. This is the problem.
Now, you have some time to look at the task.

Please, talk to each other in order to find a


solution to the problem.
What can we do?

You are in charge of organizing a training event for your company.

The event takes place tomorrow, but the guest speaker who is supposed to
do the presentation has just called to say he is ill and cannot attend. Now,
you are trying to find a solution to the problem with your colleague(s).

Discuss three or four possible solutions together and decide which you
think is the best solution and give reasons. You do not have to agree with
your colleague(s).

Speak for about 3 minutes.
