National symbols
NATIONAL SYMBOLS

National symbols represents nations and countries. They are used as


means to communicate the history and culture of a particular nation.
These symbols can be used to instill pride and unity in the people.
His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
He was the first President of the UAE.

He served this position since the formation


of the UAE on 2nd December 1971 until he
passed away in 2004.

He is known as the Father of the Nation for


his role in forming the United Arab Emirates.
National Flag of the U.A.E
The flag of the United Arab Emirates
contains the Pan-Arab colors red, green,
white and black. It was designed in 1971 by
Abdullah Mohammed Al Maainah.
Red represents hardiness, bravery,
strength and courage.
Green represents hope, joy, and love.
White represents peace and honesty
Black stands for the defeat of enemies and
strength of mind.
Ishy Biladi(Long Live My Nation) is the
national anthem of the UAE.

It was composed by Mohammed Abdel


Wahab and the lyrics were written by Arif
Al Sheikh Abdullah Al Hassan.
