In my family, the person closest to me is my mother. My mother’s name is Loan. She

is (phíp ty)50 years old. She is a teacher at a Primery school. She is tall and thin. Her
face is (âu vồ)oval with brown (ai)eyes and (cơ ly he)curly hair. Her skin has (phéc
cồ)freckles but with me, she is always the most beautiful woman. My mom has a (ne
rầu)narrow nose, which I very like. My mother is (bắp ly)bubbly, outgoing with a
great (sensss)sense of humor. She is willing to help anyone in need. My mom loves
every members of the family with all her heart. We really (ớp pờ ri ci ết)appreaciate
mother’s (e phợt)effort, (pây sừn)patient and her hard word to (con sơ)conserve the
family happiness. I love my mom forever.

2.Talk about one of your friends.

Good friends are very (re ờ)rare in these fast (chên ging)changing days. Among my
friends, Hang is my closest friend. She and I (sta đi)studied together since we (en
tơ)entered in kindergarden. It means that we have been friends for more than ten year.
Now, she is a student at Thai Binh University of (me đi sin)Medicine and (pha Mơ
ci)Pharmacy and she belongs to the department of General Medicine. She is (sho
đờ)shortish and (p lăm)plump with long (cơ ly he)curly hair. She has bright skin and
brown eyes with glasses. Her face is (chóp Bi)chubby with a straight nose. If you
meet her for the first time, you will feel like she is (ăn sâu ci bồ)unsociable or (gien
Tồ)gentle and (mư đì)moody. But in fact, she is very humorous,( tếch Ơ típ)talkative,
she also is (cam)calm and (r lai ơ bồ)reliable. We have the same interest in watching
(e nơ mai)anime and eating snacks. She also helps me in my studies. I am always
proud of our friendship, we will keep it like this as long as we can.

3.Talk about a famous person in your country.

Vietnam has a lot of famous people domestic and (pho rừn)foreign. Among them is
Ho Chi Minh (pre si đừn)president. HCM is Vietnamese (căm mi nít)Communist
leader. He was born on May, nai tin)19 th, (ết tin nai Ti) 1890 in Nam Dan district,
Nghe An (pro vừn)province. He was tall and thin with (stari)starry eyes and high
(pho hét) forehead. He used to work as a cook, a waiter and a tutor. He was also a
famous (po ét)poet. One of the most famous writing is “( đai ri) Diary in prison”. It
was very (vali ây bồ) valuable. Uncle Ho knew different (leng whit gi)languages in
the world such as: English, French, Chinese,… Uncle Ho devoted his whole life to
the independence of VN. That’s all the reason I love him. He died in HN on
September, 2nd, 1969 but he is always in Vietnamese’s memory. I loved and respected
him very much, and I always remind myself: “Live, fight, work and study following
great Uncle Ho’s example.”

 4. Talk about a festival.
Tet, also known as Lunar New year festival, is the biggest traditional festival in Viet
Nam. Tet is usually from the end of January to early February. Before Tet,
Vietnamese prepare many things for the three main days: flowers, fruits, candies,
biscuits, vegetables,…. We clean our house and decorate with flowers such as
kumquat tree or peach blossom. On these special days, people often put a five - fruit
tray and Chung cake - the special dish on the altars to pay their respects to the
ancestors. On the days of lunar new year, everyone often comes to grandparents,
relatives and neighbors to wish them health, happiness and a happy new year.
Children often receive lucky money kept in a red envelope from the others. On these
days, people often go to the church or pagoda to pray for all the best things for their
families. All in all, Tet is all about back to origins, be good to others, enjoy the
precious moment, and wish for the best to come.

The name of photo is Artists at North Sea Jazz Festival 2013. The photo shows a performance of the
artists on stage. On the right, there is a singer who is singing passionately. On the left, an instrumentalist
was reveling in melodies . And look at the back of the photo, a cameraman was recording the
performance. I really like the photo. Because, I love music and singer’s passion. The photos is very
impressive and has inspirational for viewers.

5. Talk about your money spending weekly

Now I'm a student at a university so I ask parents for money. I have 500k VNĐ for a
week. With this money, I usually make a budget, stick to the budget in order not to
run out of money before my parents send it to me. I often spend this money for
studying, eating, shopping and some the arise problems. Besides, I also make a
emergency fund just in case I spend more than 500k for a week. However, I have
never spent more than 500k a week, I always save a little money every week. I
understand that money doesn’t grow on trees so I always try to be economical as
much as I can.

6. Talk about a film that you like

Among all films I have ever seen, I like the movie called: Lupatu: Castle in the sky.
It is an animated film of Ghibli Studio, and also the first film that ushered in the
Studio Ghibli era. Laputa: Castle in the sky won the Animage Anime Grand Prix in
1986. Once upon a time, only the inhabitants of Laputa possessed the power of
crystallization. The content of the film revolves around the search for Laputa - an
island or rather a castle floating in the sky of two friends Pazu and Sheeta. The whole
movie is about chases, disputes over ownership of the magic stone between different
forces, but in the end, all of them fail before the friendship of Pazu and Sheeta - the
symbol of beautiful feelings, love of life and desire for peace. That's why I like this
movie so much.

 7. Describe a picture/photo that you like.
The Mona Lisa is a famous painting by Leonardo da Vinci in about 1503. The
painting depicts the Mona Lisa - a member of the Gherardini family in Florence and
Tuscany. The painting is a half- a woman with facial expressions is described as a
mystery. The ambiguity of the model's expression, the strangeness of the half-face,
and the illusion of formal patterns and illusion are the novelties that contribute to the
charm of the model. Perhaps it was the most famous painting ever stolen and taken
back to the Louvre. Now, it is displayed in a closed, air-conditioned space, specially
built after a bulletproof glass. Approximately 6 million people visit the Louvre every
year. I like this picture because I see the character in the painting as a mysterious
embodiment of feminine eternity.

9. Do you prefer watching films at home or at the cinema? Why?
Watching films is one of my hobbies, I usually watch films on my laptop at home. Of
course watching movies at home is not as interesting as watching movies in the
cinema, but in return it can be more comfortable. I can lie on my cozy bed, eat many
different kind of snacks, everything I want to eat without spending too much money.
It is great that after a week of working and studying, I can finally relax and refresh
myself by spending time watching movies. It is an interesting hobby that I will keep
doing in my free time.

10. Talk about your way of learning a foreign language
English is the most common language all over the world. There is no compulsory
method to study English, but each person has to find the suitable one to study it
efficiently. To me, I read books in English in order to improve both my vocabulary
and grammar. Besides, I try to learn and remember new words as much as possible.
Moreover, I combine studying and entertaining. In my free time, I often listen to
English songs, watch English movies and try to translate the lyrics as well as the
subtitle. I hope you can find your own ways to learn English.

11. Your friends want to visit your hometown. Suggest them what to do.
Ninh Binh, my hometown, is a province located at the southernmost gate on the
North of Vietnam. It used to be the capital of Vietnam in the 1000s. Ninh Binh
possesses many famous landscapes, historical and cultural sites such as Ancient
capital of Hoa Lu, Bai Dinh Pagoda, Cuc Phuong National Park, Trang An Scenic
Landscape Complex,... You can visit that tourist destinations everytime in year
because they are always wonderful and beautiful. If you want to visit my hometown,
you should prepare a camera, a mobile phone and some money. A camera is
indispenable to take some photos to keep memories, a mobile phone is necessary to
keep in touch with the others. Last but not least, you need money to taste rice fire or
famous for dishes made from goat meat and buy some souvenirs for relatives, friends.

12. Talk about your daily fashion style.

My daily clothing requirement is also not too high. I like to wear comfortable clothes.
In the summer, I like to wear T-shirt and shorts. The color of clothes that I choose is
white and black. This is a classic color tone and very easy to coordinate. In the
winter, I like to wear a hoodie and jeans. On days when the temperature is too low I
will put on a black jacket. My school is not too strict about the clothes, I can default
anything to school, as long as it’s not too ridiculous. When I come to school, I choose
elegant clothes such as: a T-shirt and jeans with sport shoes,... In the future I do not
know if I will change or not but now I am very satisfied with my fashion style.

On my last summer holiday, I went to Ha Long Bay with my family. I travelled to Ha
Long Bay by car. I stayed at a hotel and I stayed here 4 days. First day, I got up early
to see the sunrise on the beach. In the morning and afternoon, I went swimming. The
next days, I visited beautiful and famous destinations in Ha Long Bay. After that, I
tasted food and drink here. The last day, I bought some souvenirs for my friends and
myself. In the Ha Long Bay, it was cool. My last summer holiday was interesting and
meaningful. I hope I will come back Ha Long Bay soon.

14. Talk about a memorable event in the past.
I have many memorable events in the past but my last summer holiday is the event I
remember most. That time, I went to Ha Long Bay with my family. I travelled to Ha

16. Talk about tatoos.

Tattooing today is more popular than ever before. Tattoos are not just for the young.
Many people are now going for their first tattoo in their 30s, 40s, 50s or 60s...
Japanese and Chinese characters and loved one’s names are among the most popular
designs. I neither like nor hate tatoos on other people because I think each tattoo
probably is meaningful for themselves. Due to the nature of my future job, I don't
want tattoos on my body. If I can have a tattoo, I prefer small designs like stars,
flowers and cute symbols.

17. Talk about animal migration.
Animal migration is the relatively long-distance movement of individual animals,
usually on a seasonal basis. It is the most common form of migration in ecology. It is
found in all major animal groups, including birds, mammals, fish, reptiles,
amphibians, insects, and crustaceans. The salmon is one of the animal migration
during their life. Salmon mostly spend their early life in rivers or lakes, and then
swim out to sea where they live their adult lives and gain most of their body mass.
When they have matured, they return to the rivers to spawn. They usually return with
uncanny precision to the natal river where they were born, and even to the very
spawning ground of their birth. Most salmon species migrate during the fall
(September through November).

19. Describe what you are wearing today

I'm wearing a T-shirt and shorts. T-shirt is blue and shorts are black. In the summer, I
often wear this type of clothes at home because in my area, the weather is very hot in
this time. My T-shirts are usually cotton because of their smooth, silky quality and
excellent sweat absorption. My shorts are made of denim material, it brings health

and dynamism on hot summer days. That's why I like wearing them. I believe that
many of you also wear this type of clothes.

the name of the photo is artists at north sea jazz festival 2013. The band are
performing in the stage and the cameraman if fliming it. I liked the photo a lot
because i'm a big fan of jazz. This photo is thought-provoking. I can see the
enthusiasm in their perfomance and I hope that in the future I will have a chance to
attend a jazz festival.

In my country has a lot of festival. But for me, the best festival is the Hung King
Temple festival. It is one of the most important festival in Vietnam. It takes place from
the 8th to the 11th day of the third lunar month in Phu Tho. On this day, people from
all over the country come here to attend the ceremony, which is also the reason why
this day is often crowded and often congested. This festival is held to worship the
Hung Kings who are the founders and also the first emperors of the nation. In here
has a ceremony of offering, there are many joyful activites including bamboo swings,
lion dances, wrestling and xoan singing performances. I think if you have freetime,
you should join it once.
