Abstract : summary or synopsis, a condensed version of a report which outlines the salient

points and emphasises the main conclusions and, where appropriate, the main recommendations. It
has two functions: either to provide a precise of what the recipient is about to read, or has just read;
or to provide a summary of a report if the recipient is not going to read all of it.
Appendix : a section of a report which gives details of matters discussed more broadly in the
main body. It provides additional information for readers who require it without breaking the thread
of argument in the main body for readers.
Reference List : is a list of the publication information for the sources you’ve cited in your
paper and is intended to give your readers all the information they need to find those sources. For
example, APA style
Conclusion : a section of a report where the author links the terms of reference with the
findings, as presented in the main body, and reaches clear, simply stated and objective conclusions
that are fully supported by evidence and arguments and which come within and satisfy the terms of
reference.
Confidentiality : the degree to which the availability of a report is restricted.
Copyrights : legal protection against the use of literary or artistic property without
permission.
Draft : an early version of a report drawn up for initial consideration.
Fonts : a set of characters in one weight and style of typeface.
Formats : The general appearance of a report including type style, paper, binding, covers,
layout, shape and size.
Graph : a method of presenting figures visually. Particularly useful for illustrating detailed
relationships between items or to show a trend over time.
Index : an alphabetical list of items discussed in a report together with their page and/or
paragraph numbers.
Justification : a method of refining the appearance of text where both the left and right-hand
edges are straight
Minutes : a type of report which provides a record of business transacted at a meeting. It
may well have some legal and authoritative farce.
Pie-Chart : a method of presenting figures visually. Very useful for illustrating relative
proportions - or how the total pie in divided up
Questionnaire : a method of gathering information by questioning respondents.
Quota Sample : a method of statistical sampling used to obtain a balanced view from people
based on their sex, age and possibly social class.
Random Sample : In statistical sampling, each member of the population has an equal
chance of being selected.
Report : a document produced to convey information to a specific audience at a certain
moment in time.
Research Report : a type of report which extends our understanding of the world by
reducing our uncertainty and increasing our comprehension of it.
Scope : a statement of what was done, and perhaps what was not done - and why it was not
done - if the readers could reasonably have assumed that it would have been.
1. Based on the above case, the objectives of the report are as follow:
a. identify the factors affect grade 3 students reading performance
b. What should be done to improve their performance

2. Possible skeletal framework of this report are as follows:

a. Abstract or executive summary
b. Introduction
c. Project goals and objectives
d. Project descriptions
e. Evaluation
f. Conclusion and Recommendation
g. Reference and Appendix
3. In order to study this issue, I'll go with Quantitative approach for this research for several
reasons, First, Quantitative research involves information that deals with quantities and numbers.
Second, The scope is big so the larger the number the easier the quantitative research is. Third, It
allows the researcher to collect datas faster and can be used with samples. Fourth, it keeps the
anonymous of the participants. Last but not least, it does not need direct observation to be useful.

4. For this research, we use the survey method which involve the usage of questionnaire and it
could be online and papers. I choose this method because there are many benefits that I can get
from the questionnaire. First, It is cheaper and easier to use. You can create your own questionnaire.
A questionnaire can be placed on your website or emailed to your customers. These methods have
little to no cost. Second, questionnaires are also a practical way to gather data. They can be targeted
to groups of your choosing and managed in various ways. You can pick and choose the questions
asked as well as the format (open-ended or multiple choice). Lastly, It’s quick and easy to collect
results with online and mobile tools. This means that you can get back the result in less than 24
hours depending on the scale and reach of your questionnaire.

5. For this I think the random sampling would be the best among others sampling. The random
sample is the purest form of probability sampling. Each member of the population has an equal and
known chance of being selected.
Since the study focus on grade 3 students and there are many students, so rather than
frustrating and choosing the participants, we pick random students from the whole sample. This
helps solve the time issues. Likewise, When there are very large populations, it is often difficult or
impossible to identify every member of the population, so this may be the most important type of
sample.
Our project name is Information Distribution Campaign to Prevent Waste or in short
IDCPW. IDCPW Project was formed in January 2021 as a part of a project in Professional
Communications major in Institute of Foreign Languages. We started at Indradevi High School in
Phnom Penh city. It failed to be implemented due to an external obstacle, COVID-19. The
COVID-19 pandemic has caused Cambodia to go into a lockdown to avoid and suppress the spread
of COVID-19. Therefore many new challenges have arise.
First, he government decided to implement a lockdown on Phnom Penh starting from April
14 midnight through April 28. Second, The government had announced the closure of schools
nationwide and since our scope is Indradevi High School, it affects our research progress as well.
Third, Due to the high count of new cases, Cambodia has not been able to open public places that
have a high gathering of people such as schools. With the uncertainty of when school will be open
again, we have decided that this project will not be implemented in the near future. Likewise,
corvid-19 is an unexpected disease that causes serious damage to peoples’ lungs. Without
vaccinating. a healthy human being has a 70% to survive, but with oxygen equipped.
Overall, the project can be used again to implement another school that has similar problems
like Indradevi High School. The four main phases of this project will guarantee a high percentage of
success rather than failure if there will not be any pandemic like this time. We have learnt that
whether the project runs smoothly or not does not depend on the grants, but there are other issues
combined as well as in this case, the social and health issues play the main role. The government
can be a red light at any time.
