Consumer Buying Behavior on Buying Products or Services from Amazon by

Age:

Figure 1

Figure 2
Figure 1, the column chart shows the range of age of people who submitted the responses. We were
able to get 32 responses from age of 16 to 41. It is clear that people who are 21 years old have
attended the survey the most which are 14 people (43.8%). Then 10 people (31.3%) of age 20, 2
people (6.3%) of age 19 and the rest of the other group of ages. Here we have tried to put people
from different generation but obviously not so old or young.

Figure 2, the pie chart shows the percentage of people who use or don't use Amazon. The result is
not satisfactory for Amazon here. Most people do not use Amazon's product or service. About 71.9%
of people do not use Amazon. And only 28.1% of 32 people are consumers of Amazon.

The Services or Products Consumers Use or Want to Use.

Figure 3

We asked which service or product of Amazon people use or want to use. Of course, we will get an
idea about the most popular service or product here. Amazon online shopping seems to be the most
popular of all other services. According to chart 19(70.4%) people use or want to use Amazon Online
Shopping. For this, Amazon can make their service consumer-friendly as it has more demand than
others. Amazon prime is also a popular service, placing at 2nd place. We can accept Alexa too as it is
not that far from prime. This means if these services are more attractive and offers more reliability,
consumers will buy them as they are willing to use them. The products and services here have fair
demand among the consumers. It affects consumers behavoir towards buying the products and
services. Data is collected so that we can understand consumer's opinions and interests about the
products and services as well as the things which will affect their buying decision. Then amazon can
develop according to what consumers want. And that will make them potential buyers.
Consumer Satisfaction:

Figure 4

Figure 5
We asked if the consumers are satisfied with the product or service as a satisfied consumer will buy
more products or services. But the pie chart depicts so. It has a maybe vote of 45.8% which means a
consumer is confused if the service is satisfactory or not. This is not good because a satisfied
consumer must have been clear about it. As they are confused it means Amazon has to make their
service better than before. Though 25% of consumers are clearly satisfied but it's not enough for a
huge corporation like Amazon. But it is also to be noted as clearly dissatisfied consumers are very
low, the chart is not even showing the percentage. A satisfied consumer will probably a motivated
consumer who will buy things from amazon for sure. A maybe category of the consumer will think
about buying alternative products. They will try to learn about other products or services which is
better. And when they find it, they will probably switch from amazon to alternative products. And
dissatisfied consumers will probably end up buying other services and products as their perception
towards Amazon products will change negatively unless there is something special made for them by
Amazon. Consumer psychology will allow them to think about the benefits they got and what they
didn't get. The reason consumers are satisfied or not is given in figure 5.

Alternative Products and Services Consumers Use.

Figure 6
Figure 7

We asked if consumers use alternative products or not, as the satisfaction level was not favorable.
The sales of the products were also not good enough because of these alternative products and
services of other competitive companies. 60.7% of people use alternative and 39.3% does not. The
difference between them is 21.4%, which is a big gap. Accordingly, Amazon seems not to do well to
compete with its competitors. People are using more of the alternatives as in Netflix instead of
Amazon prime video, Google Home instead of Alexa, Daraz instead of Amazon Online Shopping.
Netflix and Google Home take a huge advantage on others.
